Kaldoth
So, I recently downloaded Speed Freeks on Steam, and I gotta say this game is an absolute gem. For 20 USD it is packed with so much stuff, but the player count is abysmally low. Not sure if it's due to only being on PC, maybe too niche, or lack of advertising prior to release, but this game should have way more players than it currently does. For anyone who hasn't played it, it's like if Twisted Metal and Rocket league had a baby, and then that baby got slung into the 41st millennium and painted green. There are loads of vehicles to choose from, three built in progression paths for cosmetics, a custom map builder, and the controls feel easy to learn but hard to master. Matches are short too, so it doesn't require a huge amount of time investment. For such a low price tag it gives you a lot of content, and frankly I think the devs have done a great job keeping a lot of the crap that plagues modern games out of it. No paywalls or loot boxes to be seen. It's honestly kind of sad that it seems like nobody is playing it when it's such a goofy good time. Is anyone kroozin around on there, or is this one doomed to collect dust in the Steam library?
