Over on Reddit, someone highlighted the expanded smokestack/exhaust image actually has a Cataphractii shoulder pad with a similar crest as FW Peter Turbo.
As a joke I posed the question "what if Peter Turbo IS a Defiler?" .. I mean.. seeing the Eddy Gonz fan art above... not that far fetched.

That would be one hell of a multipart kit: Default defiler, alleged god specific upper torsos, Perty upper body, and maybe, if we're lucky Soul Grinder upper body. They'd need to have it planned like the heresy vehicles with the leg assembly being all separate sprues and the upper bodies with their own assembly each.

 

Not too outlandish, but probably not the route they took. Though I would love it to be honest.

My money is on Mutilators, IW Legionnaires Upgrade kit, terminator Warsmith character, and Defiler. 

 

I would love Perturabo. I have built two different "Daemon" Perturabos in my decade in the hobby. Nothing out of what we have been shown is definitely Perturabo...

Valrak had said that perturabo wasn't coming yet so I wouldn't get hopes up for him.

Iron Warriors were my first properly built army and I mained them for a good 4 years 7th through til 9th. This is very good news. Hope Pete makes an appearance, but I'm more than happy with some bionics for the CSM kit. 

 

If we get a Combat Patrol I reckon that'll push me past my skipping of 10th Edition so far.

Regardless of whether you think Perturabo is coming now, later or never, don't you guys think that if any of the teased bits belonged to him there'd have a been a tad more... fanfare to it? That it'd have been the final bit, with a bit more dramatic flair to it instead of one among eight? Maybe his hammer or the wrist guns?

 

They aren't usually subtle about these things. Remember Mortarion's scythe being shown at the end of the initial Death Guard reveal?

IMO, I don't see Perturabo getting a miniature without the IW getting a separate Codex too. They might use this release to test the waters to see if splitting IW into their own faction might be worth it.

I reckon they've already started on it. I can easily them launching Codex: IW in 11th to facilitate them still releasing a chaos primarch every edition. Though the fun would be to see how they handle night lords.

Baseline CSM don't have a primarch mini, Abbadon would be the closest thing. Perturabo could definitely live in the depths of Codex: CSM.

I can see Perturabo and down the line Lorgar getting releases without IW and WB getting, or needing their own codex. Ultramarines got Guilliman back and he is part of the vanilla space marine codex. 

 

I don't think he is in this teaser though. Mutilators, upgrade sprue, character and Defiler though, that seems a safe bet. 

 

If there is some sort of bundle box alongside I wonder what it will be?

I'm excited for this. I'm fairly new to the IW since starting a HH army with them. I've been hoping they'd be better represented in 40k so I could carry my army through from HH.

According to Valrak's rumours it's a box with Legionaries, Havocs, Terminators and a Warpsmith, plus the new upgrade sprue.

 

I believe Valrak said it was specifically the current Warpsmith and not something new or IW-specific, but given the Cataphractii-looking bits in the teasers now I'm contractually obligated to question it.

Part of me hopes we get Pete's return, and having seen the fan art @TheWarmaster posted, I could see him being part Defiler these days.  I can, see us getting a new 40K Warsmith to compliment the HH version we got fairly recently, which is where I think a fair few of the pictures come from.  Either way, I'll be interested to see what he looks like!

Chaos models had weird faces in the smokestacks, armor and guns forever. 
 
could just be spine of new soul grinder/Defiler, considering how clear the detail seems to be.

I don´t think it´s new knight unit for chaos, those are alot cleaner.

They're not talking about the smokestacks, but the curved shape that has very similar features to perturabos forge world model. 

 

 

My money would be on a Obliterator/mutilator dual kit, then a venom crawler/spider crab dual kit. Defiler would be nice!
