Orange Knight
I'm referring to various pintle weapons I have for different vehicles. Due to storage limitations, I can't glue the various hatches and pintle weapons on, but they might also be too heavy or weighed down in a certain direction to remain upright when simply placed on the model. Can anyone recommend something they've used that I can put underneath hatch doors to weigh them down? I'm looking for small dimensions in this case. Grotsmasha
Metal washers, glued to the underside is how I used to deal with unbalanced models, so I assume a small enough washer underneath turrets etc. should do the trick. Karhedron
I find the push fit of most models is tight enough to prevent droopy guns. Even the old metal multimelta on my Land Raider works OK despite being massively front-heavy. Cleon
If you have attached the pintle to the hatch and want to get the whole hatch in, I'd recommend a small magnet in side the hatch and another on a piece of sprue inside the turret. Orange Knight
Thanks all. I'll give a few things a try. This is happening because I'm mixing some bits from a 30k and 40k sprue. I might try magnets or just source a small, led weight. jaxom
Metal shot or metal pellets or metal BBs. Ballast sized is almost like working with sand. Larger sizes are available through jewelry supply companies. The largest ones are available from ballistic companies. I knew a guy who put them under the bases of all his plastic minis because he missed the heft of pewter minis. Blissful Brushes
I used to use pennies under bases back in the day when we had cash Orange Knight 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387448-can-anyone-recommend-some-small-weights-or-something-similar-to-help-keep-things-upright/#findComment-6152718 Share on other sites
