I think it's meant to be a bit of a throwback to the metal Cadian Colonel from the 3.5 days. Maybe his daughter as a nod to the Creeds, but I could just be reading too much into it.

I think it's fine, but that's about as strong as I'll go. Needs a pith helmet.

Atleast they made it easy to change the head and nothing weitd armor wise. 

Pretty okays model, too bad it´s hard to get your hands on.

I like this one more than the standard Castellan. Always thought the rocks we has standing on looked a little goofy.

I honestly quite like her. Not a bad little model at all, nicely understated and decently detailed without being overly busy. Even the facesculpt looks good! Shame it'll be hellish to get hold of her.

I can see that, and I rather like that. That was always a fantastic sculpt.

With a different paint scheme it could easily be a commissar. It's already got the sash.

 

The newer commissar look pretty dull and it fits in with their new look. I prefer the more ornate look they used to have.

Eh, it's more a return to the RT era where the Commissars were just black-coated, jack-booted enforcers. Personally, I hope they expand on the "Prefectus Militants" they reintroduced in the Krieg Command Squad so we can take a entire squad of them.

Do quite like it, it doesn't seem overly special but i think it's still a nice alternative stoic pose for them. A shame it's limited to certain events.

Not keen unfortunately, dimensions look off in a number of areas IMO.

At least won't feel the need to track me down from scalpers or spend extra ££ to get to an event....

IMHO, it's just far too similar a concept to the 2023 Event Exclusive 40K model:

 

Given all the diversity of factions and possibilities within the setting, it just feels like a lazy choice, rather than doing something 'new' and/or for another faction.

When this model came out, the sculptor said in White Dwarf that the face is based kn his own grandad and that it was quite a personal model for him.
