So as always, I have decided to get back into 40k near the dawn of a new edition, if the rumors are the be believed. In that case I am going to try and focus on clearing my backlog and units that are generically good for black templars. Oh, and models that I think are cool. I'll be using this thread to keep myself on track with building and painting as well as musings as I gain more experience with playing the game. All that being said I am working towards a 1000-point list that is casually competitive and thematic.

I left a few points off so that I could run either gladius task force or wrathful procession and still have some room for enhancements. For the most part I will be plan on taking accept any challenge no matter the odds as my templar vow. Basic idea is that the Marshall, castellan and sword bros use the land raider for early game protection and a stepping off point with its assault ramp ability. Intercessors are used to sticky the home objective and as action monkeys when needed.  Blade guard are used to cover an objective, probably the objective of natural expansion. The Emperors champion can either go with the crusader squad and cause general mayhem or take advantage of his lone op rules. Even before playing a game with this list I wonder if I am taking to much anti vehicle and monster by taking the eradicator squad as well as a land raider.  I could replace them with a squad of aggressors or a 5th sword bro wielding a thunder hammer. Alternatively I have been toying with the idea of adding some assault intercessors with jump packs to get some native deep strike options into the list. Constructive criticism is welcome and I look forward to sharing this hobby with you all.
