Ok, I have some questions. What can be attached to a guardian squad and storm guardian squad at the same time? Not worried about points at this time, I know they would be stupidly expensive, its legality and whether they can is the point of this right now.

Can a defender squad really have a Farseer, warlock, warlock conclave and a big support platform?

Same question for the storm guardians just without the platform.

Mostly these questions stem from seeing the option and scratching my head because most armies only get the option for a major character(command squad) and maybe a minor character to join a squad. Four attachments seem a bit extreme.

Not exactly. Warlock and Warlock Conclave are separate units and have different restrictions on what you can add them to. Single Warlocks have a special rule allowing them to join a Guardian squad as well as a Farseer but the Conclave does not have this rule. Warlock Conclaves have a rule which says:

At the start of the Declare Battle Formations step, if this unit is not an Attached unit, this unit can join one GUARDIAN DEFENDERS or STORM GUARDIANS unit from your army

Now if you add a Farseer to a Warlock Conclave, it becomes an Attached unit and so can no longer join Guardians. This means that the following combinations are legal.

  1. Guardians with Farseer and a single Warlock
  2. Guardians with a Warlock Conclave (no Farseer)
  3. Warlock Conclave with a Farseer.

Options 1 and 2 can have a single Support weapon attached.

I hope that clarifies everything.
