Warhammer 40k themed math problem

Hello there, I have made a word math problem that has stumped both humans and AI. When explained to the AI it understands but it is a rough one for sure. Only my brothers who play warhammer have gotten it right.  Would you care to take the challenge? It so please put your answer in spoilers tag.

 

There are two version of the question with the same idea:

 

A box of 6 thallax have 6 normal weapons. There are also 2 pairs of 3 special weapons in the box. How many boxes do I need to make squads of all identical weapons?

 

A box of 6 miniature soliders unit have swords option with the option to have 2 Axes, two Maces and two Spears in the box. I HAVE one box already. How many boxes do I need to buy to have units all with the same weapons?

If you’re talking about squads of 6 Thallax then you’d need 4 boxes. That would give you 8 of each special weapon plus the bodies to have a squad with normal weapons and 3 other squads all with a full loadout of the various special weapons.

For both you need only one box.

You don't specify wich weapons you want identical, so :

6 thallax with 6 identical normal weapons = 1 box

6 solider with 6 swords = 1 box 

 

Or am I missing something here ?

Q2: 3 boxes.

In a 1985 parts magazine a space marine and bolter together costs $1.10 total. The space marine costs $1 more than the bolter. How much is it for just the bolter?

The answer to my question below because I don't check these forums super frequently:

5 cents for the bolter.
A $1.05 marine + a 5 cent bolter is $1.10
