W.A.Rorie Posted February 9 Share Posted February 9 (edited) What weapon loadouts and enhancements are you planning on? Are you planning 3 units on 1 of each type of model for support? One issue will be the NDK and GMNDK outpacing techmarines but that is why we can teleport to back and forth. I can vouch for this load out. I have one Ven Dread in my Santic Spearhead and the last game I played he was great for zipping round my backfield/mid-field to snipe with his cannon and knock head together as required while the Dreadknights were occupied holding back a tide of Wulfen and Blood Claws. casb1965 Posted March 18 Author Share Posted March 18 So, used a cut down 1500pt version of this the other night (1 less techmarine anx 2 less NDK) and switched to Brotherhood Strike for the rerolls. Played against SM which was Terminator Captain, 1 unit of Terminators, 1 unit of Hellblasters, 1 unit of eliminators with phobos librarian, 1 unit of assault marines, 1 apothecary with 3 HF Aggressors, 1 ballistic dread, 1 drop pod and a vindicator. Played an open battle (1st 10ed game for nearly a year) on a 6x4 board with plenty of terrain. Was surprised at how well it went, after turn 4 all my opponent had was a drop pod, the mobility and firepower of the dreadnoughts and dreadknights was too much and my opponent barely got a shot off. Double and sometimes triple teaming an enemy unit pretty much ripped through their units and when they moved in to position to strike back GoI allowed me to move away and return where I could threaten other units. Will try it again to see if this was a one-off but it did seem crazily OTT.
