Gizmo
Hello, I've never used a forum before so please bear with me. Been a warhammer fan since I was in my early teens but only really owned a couple of metal high elf and dark elf models. I have only really been following the hobby from afar until a few years ago when a mate of mine gave me a big box of spues and old models and I decided to give it a proper go. I bought a box of blood angels tactical marines to get started ( I have only just finished them) but quickly decided that I like so many different kits out there i dont want to collect one faction. I am much more interested in the painting side of the hobby and am starting a blog to give me some encouragement and focus to finish painting what I have and to hopefully improve as a painter. I am looking forward to becoming part of the comunity! Shard of Magnus
Welcome to the B&C! What you’ve shared in your blog so far looks good. It’ll be great to see how you progress and what projects you end up working on. The Forge forums will be worth exploring (and posting in) given your interest in the painting side. There are a number of members who, like yourself, focus mostly on the painting side. W.A.Rorie
Welcome to the B&C, @Gizmo! I like your Blood Angels and can't wait to see what else you are working on. Like everyone has previously said. Check out the forge section of the Forums and if your need anything just ask. We all have different aspects of the hobby we enjoy but we all enjoy the same hobby. Dr_Ruminahui
If you do want to play with the models you paint, and want to paint a broad variety of stuff, Killteam might be a good choice for you, as each game uses less than a dozen models on each side, and the models tend to be more individualized in terms of equipment and such, allowing for more variety and (potentially) interest in a given group of models. Or if you don't have any intent to play, that's fine too - plenty of folks here who fall into that boat. I consider myself a hobbyist first (focusing on things Slannesh), though I do play some - I get in maybe 4-6 games a year. Welcome, and whatever your approach is, be sure to share your models in the forge and/or the appropriate faction subforum(s).
