Orange Knight
Looks great to me. It's like the Cerastus class but a much better and more practical size for the game. Fantastic overall. irlLordy
Kinda strong "We have Knight Lancer at home" vibes to it unfortunately. At least this has actual guns. ggergnayr
I really like the second helmet option. It’s like a knight helmet and a classic Cadillac grille got mashed together, and the pennant is a solid touch. Overall a big yes from me on this middleweight. Inquisitor_Lensoven
Idk it seems awkward to me. like I would have used a bigger little gun, like a lascannons instead of what appears to be a hvy stubber. Marshal Reinhard
I'm thinking at bare minimum, the legs will be shiftable like the Dominus, ie, you'll be able to choose which foot that's forward. I'd suspect that initially, the loadouts might be limited to the two that we see here? Like the Questoris, there might be future weapons eventually. Though its a little suspicious that we haven't seen one in knight house colors yet (but perhaps a leap to assume that'll show more armament options) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387615-knight-destrier/page/2/#findComment-6158110 Share on other sites
Jukkiz
so... we´re still getting static legs and that´s it? another 100€ knight with two weapon options and then later they add weapon sprue to it for more? Kyari
Hoping this lands somewhere in the 200-250 point range so that it fills a nice little middle ground of wanting something bigger than an Armiger but not wanting a full on Questoris, particularly for Allies and 1000 point games. ggergnayr and Karhedron 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387615-knight-destrier/page/2/#findComment-6158112 Share on other sites
Ayatollah_of_Rock_n_Rolla
The model isn't bad but lorewise I don't understand neither how that rocket buster is supposed to work nor how Destrier's niche is different from Questoris' one. Iron Lord
Seen from the front, those legs look very like the Chaos Knight Ruinator's legs - just scaled down a tiny bit. Mogger351
Time for the cerastus to go bye bye I think. This feels like a way to get a small lancer into the space. The full armour on the "shins" however, does seem to me a little more evocative of the Ruinator than the Armiger. Osteoclast
The design feels a bit too smooth to me, if that makes sense. Can’t quite put words to it. Was also confused by the lack of obvious jet pack on it when it’s highlighted in the next. Clear opportunity for a 3rd party retrofit at least. RedFox
I'm surprised by the reaction. To me this is the best looking knight so far. Armchair Warlord
I was looking forward to this - Unfortunately, the excitement has worn off in under one afternoon. This is a totally unimaginative offering. Alas very 40k these days. The weapon options are nothing imaginative, and as others have already stated - this is just a head nod offering of a knight Lancer for 40k. No new weapons - just more 'knock down the health bar' in the way 40k now plays. Nothing tactical, nothing to add variety, nothing that truly has the flavour of something that can be written into being a variant chassis from the 'Dark age of Technology era' The Pros ( for me). 1, I do like the legs, torso and head - but that's just because more Knight is just more Knight for me (see below) - these parts are just bits for the bits god ! A base to build something I dream up later. The Cons 1, The legs most definitely do NOT look poseable. Which leads to : 2, Easy build, limited pose kit - AT best I hope that the left leg and right leg can swap ( like the Armiger) 3, Forgeworld seems to be something of the past these days - So I doubt we can look forward to a more oddball Resin/Plastic variant. That in the past, would be coming out a whole lot sooner than an extra plastic sprue, IF they do one - (The Dominus hasn't had anything since release). 4, Nothing fresh as far as the weapons go - I read that as we probably aren't going to see 30k rules for it..... We haven't had rules for the Dominus since HH.1. Overall - I was eagerly awaiting the reveal of a 'new imperial knight' when it was first talked about a little while ago. I'm an absolute fan and obsessive nutter for Imperial Knights! My own Knight army has got well out of hand (about 32 knights currently) , and I've converted (kitbashed for the younger readers !) All of them in one way or another. To the point where I've already revisited some of the original Epic Space Marine designs, or invented new 'chassis classes' of my own. I was hoping for something far more different than a shorter Knight Errant.
