I’m going to be assembling a mkiv space marine dreadnought and I am wanting to have the assault cannon appear as to be firing. I’ve found plenty of suitable muzzle flash effects, however, I haven’t been able to find a suitable ejection stream for the spent shell casings. Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of suitable sized bits for the aforementioned ejection stream. Any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Ork kits are great for these, I'm specifically thinking of Ghazghull's kit. If it's assembled with the smoke on the barrels, there's four bullet streams left over.

An added benefit of finding these is they'll be plastic, and much easier to attach and work with.

 

EDIT: a google search for "40k effects bullet casings" got a couple of Etsy results, so it might be worth seeing if there's anyone local to yourself. Additionally, using yeggi.com I was able to find a couple of 3D files if you have access to a 3D printer.
