I don't dislike them, I think the detail on them both is pretty good, but something about them both seems off? For some reason they just have a strange vibe to them, as if they aren't the GW Orks we know.

You're right they do feel a little different. Feels like the amount of cloth/its style, and the grot's heavy load bring the "nomadic horde" aspect of the Orks out. I'm not particularly familiar with the Ork range but yes, something about these focuses more on the "green tide" than the "ramshackle innovation" if that makes sense.

Not exactly a bad thing, really.

Of course it could just be the pose. Looks a bit more upright than some of the older Ork infantry kits. But it's probably just the angle.

It’s…eh. Like a lot of new Orks, it’s just not very much fun. There’s just none of the character and oomph that came out of the metal 3rd Ed Warboss. I’m going to miss the Bryan Nelson style very, very much.

Nice Grot, tho.

Waaagh, I say.

I understand why they're showing this now, with the leaks and all, but I'm intrigued and confused about this:

This might not be the ONLY new Ork on the way, so you WILL definitely want to check back on Monday.

You'd think the Ork reveals would start at AdeptiCon alongside Yarrick, the Armageddon book, and 11th's reveal, and then continue after, so what will they be revealing just a couple weeks before the event, entirely on their own initiative?

The rumoured Meganob Kill Team perhaps? But I agree, you'd expect them to be waiting for Adepticon at this point and it probably isn't a Black Library Celebration thing since Ufthak just got a model (albeit a FOMO one).

I still miss the Kev Adams days.

The arm with axe looks well off but otherwise decent. However, not a 'must buy'. Assuming it'll be new nobs on Monday?

The proportions remind me of the resin Angron, with the torso and shoulders being particularly wide relative to the size of the limbs. I think it's an interesting aesthetic and I think he'll look fine next to smaller models with the same proportions.
