Xirix
Ah. Well... at least the gun looks the same, losing an option is always kinda lame tho. Mandragola
1 hour ago, roryokane said: Especially as they already have the Scorpius in plastic, which to my eyes has the same turret as the Sicaran Arcus. Sounds like a straightforward case of a sprue swap and a new box. The Omega and Punisher variants would have to be re-done though. Also, back on topic, anyone else mildly annoyed they've changed the main weapon from a twin volcano cannon to a neutron beam weapon? The Arcus turret is much bigger than the Scorpius. It’s not the same design, except superficially. I’m not personally too bothered what they call the gun. It looks pretty much identical to a warhound’s turbo laser. It isn’t much like the volcano cannons on titans or the LI shadowsword. Yep, it's a massive downgrade unfortunately. Not sure on the HH weapon rules, but the 40k and Legions Imperialis ones are night and day different. Xirix
Huh, releasing the two non-custodes Vehicles they revealed at the show, out of three. Wonder why they're holding back the Whirlwind, I want it bad. Xenith
Lovely model, treated myself to a resin one a couple of years back and thankfully got my games worth out of it before this came out. The neutron wave is pretty bad in 3rd compared to the volcano cannon, it was ok in second, as it was more likely to hit, but so so now. The Praetorian of Inwit
The Whirlwind looks good. In the proper colours of the best Legion (Imperial Fists) it will be beautiful. My resin Falchion is Imperial Fist, as they were my first edition army. I’m thinking about updating them using some of the many marines I have on sprue. I used the whirlwind as a test model for my Sons of Horus though. Despite the whirlwind not being released, this is the embargo date we have for them. https://www.tabletopbattles.com/tabletop-battles-reviews-horus-heresy-falchion-whirlwind-and-spartan Here it is. Nice kit. I quite like that Whirlwind. That new plate with the turret ring looks like it has conversion potential. I vaguely recall it's the same diameter as the Deimos Predator and Scorpius, and is compatible with the Tarantula turrets; you can even make a 2E Whirlwind using one of them! Xenith
This one kind of came and went with little fanfare. That said, getting all 3 legion superhavy tanks in the space of 9 months is pretty effing wild. calgar101 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387662-plastic-falchion/page/2/#findComment-6172502 Share on other sites
