Introducing Myself

Hello.

 

I used to collect Warhammer on and off when I was younger, but about 15-16 years ago I sold all of my miniatures due to soe financial pressure. But about four years ago now I had a huge pang of nostalgia and decided to start painting again. Since then I have been mostly trying to build the collection that my younger self was aiming for but with the added bonus of access to online painting tutorials. 

 

I'm currently switching between painting Ultramarines, Exorcists and Grey Knights.

 

I like collecting Ultramarines because I think there is a fun challenge in trying to make what is considered a boring chapter interesting and unique. I'm hoping to kitbash some primaris scale tyrannic war veterans in the dot too distant future.

 

I really loved the old metal Grey Knights when I was younger but have always been a bit disappointed in the current plastic range, especially the Dreadknight. I'm really hoping for a range refresh in 11th edition because there currently isn't anything I want to paint from this faction. 

 

I always wanted to bulk out my Grey Knights with some Exorcist Space Marines and create an Ordo Malleus themed army led by Inquisitor Lord Hector Rex, a model I really liked but never managed to pick up until recently. I'm trying to make all of my Exorcist models unique, sometimes that's a simple head swap or weapon swap and sometimes its a more elaborate kitbash, either way it been fun.
