Commissar Sebastian Yarrick returns to Armageddon with a cool new miniature that pays tribute to the Yarrick models of the past. The Hero of Hades still sports the iconic pose, raising his pilfered Ork power klaw high and shouting defiance at his foes. You’ll notice the blazing bionic eye, billowing sash, shoulder epaulettes, and distinctive hat have all carried through from earlier versions of the miniature.

Old Bale Eye also looks older than ever before, with his aging body now held together with servo-enhanced callipers and an iron will.

Look closer and you’ll notice he still carries a laspistol in a holster at his hip – the same weapon he uses to execute the cowardly, traitorous official in the animation above.

That was an awesome trailer!

Kinda agree on the action against the governor lol, that is not exactly what you say to troops mid-combat, especially when the enemy has aerial and void assets (so if they broke, they are dead meat if they make a transport since the fleet would be entirely too confused/fleeing to cover them).

Not to mention the Orks would just spill out into the rest of the segementum without the sink that is Armageddon, raising the question of where you would run to exactly...

Guy probably broke but Yarrik unironically saved alot of lives with that one lol.

I could have a whole movie with that animation and direction and it would be glorious!

I hope they go over what Yarrick has been doing with the Black Templars between the last war and this one because they never mentioned that bit of lore ever again since like 5th edition!

Anyways, great model and hopefully this brings some other regiment models like Catachan/Ork Hunters or something.

Shouldn't yarrick be dead from old age?

He was 150 by the time of cadia falling be must be pushing 350 now, juvenat caps out at like 400 years for the super super I own a sector wealthy which yarrick wouldn't fall into

What do you mean? You are aware the whole “the indomitus crusade finished a century after the fall of cadia” thing was retconned, right?

Eh... Space Marines like him and we have more than enough books where a bored apothecary breaks all limitations on biological augmentations on a whim. The Mechanicus also probably see his value and they laugh at mortality. Also the Inquisition's merry trove of nonesense. Or he is feeding off of Ork belief he can't die for peak irony.

He is also a theatre level asset at this point between propaganda value and Arm being a lynchpin, so he can afford what I like to call 'congratz on being relevant' tier of Imperial tech.

Money matters but BL has beat us over the head that power/relevance is a currency in the Imperium that outstrips any notion of noble wealth after a certain point.

And the Old Man seems to be that.

To be fair, the oldest Inquisitor we have on record was Kyril Sindermann, and he lived for somewhere approximate to 1,500 to 2,000 years. It wouldn't surprise me if the Inquisition has a vested interest in keeping Yarrick alive now as well, given his achievements and effect on morale.

That said, M2 Animation continue to deliver absolute gold on the animation front.

1. The model is cool and a great revamp of the old one.

2. Yarrick alive confirms their will to make heroes death interesting(they will not) in the lore (just use the old way to allow to use death chars).

3. Love the trailer but krieg instead of steel legion in it is heresy.

We'll probably get one, given that there's going to be a cinematic trailer (presumably set on Armageddon) with the starter set - and once you've got all those assets made up, it'd be almost a surprise to not have a follow on series like Pariah Nexus and Tithes.

I think what's most remarkable from this reboot is honestly how well the old Yarrick still holds up. Looks just like I remember.

There will be no living with Valrak after this

-Mini is awesome. Instant buy for me, it feels a little clean but I think that's down to the paintjob. Still though, no real complaints

-THAT ANIMATION THOUGH. Incredible. Beyond hyped for the 11th ed trailer now if it's in the same vein

Yes its a problem they have returned focus to Armageddon but there is no new Steel Legion kits and/or visibility of the Steel Legion in the fighting.  Annoying to say the least.

I wonder if any of the fluff about Battlefleet Armageddon and the Voss prow ships will be mentioned, or if they will ignore that as well.

Honestly i am tired of Armagedon, tired of Yarick, tired of the same named guys doing caught in their endless loup of 'SUPER SERIOUS FIGHT 5 THIS TIME ITS EVEN MORE SERIOUS!'.

I am happy for those who want this model and the newer players who will have their first Armagedon campaign. Tho since the older one never finished and it will be the same peeps this time i guess they are just joining the existing one.

Maybe GW will get frisky and do something new, bring Angron to armegedon, have the space wolf and grey knights defend the planet and then argue over civilians. Really strech the originality muscles there.

Named character remains the safest job in 40k.

I've jokingly mentioned it previously as going full circle but this round of Armageddon steel legion is just going to be a paint scheme for dkok arn't they, perhaps with a chimera based detachment.

The Ordo Yarrockous deems this message heretical.
