Apologies if this has already been asked but has anyone tried HH with the LI models?  I quite fancy trying it with the smaller scale figures but before I spend any more of my already limited time on the idea, was wondering if anyone else has tried it and if so, what was the verdict?  What issues would occur?  What measurement or conversion need to occur for this to work?

Actually LI / Epic is more accurate for the miniature scale vs the ground scale of Warhammer type games.

GW minis are approximately 1/56 scale so 24 inch range would be approximately 37 yards.  LI is approximately a quarter of that, so suddenly a Bolter range of 24 inches seems much more reasonable at about 150 yards (although still low).  But then your dudes are running super fast if you leave everything in inches and don't nerf the movement.  Perhaps just say inches are now cms and it'll feel okay.

You will want to ditch things that care about single models like challenges and mixed weapons in a unit.  You'll potentially need a lot of 3rd party stuff to build many units or have different load outs.

Essentially I think it boils down to, why not just play Epic / LI anyway?

The models are now scaled at 1/4 height of the 30k versions for Epic so a true conversion would divide all distances by 4.

Search “Pocket 40k” for more tips and tricks. Spoiler alert: magnets

I would like to try but have gone off both Heresy and Legions Imperialis rulesets, so have no current momentum.
