Hey, did Mechanicus Standard Grey spray change colors at some point? I bought I think 3 cans back in '23 or '24 and have been using them until recently. I picked up a new can when they started getting low and it's just a different color.  Did the color change or did I just get a bad can?  Pics below for comparison.

It almost looks like the difference between Mechanicus Standard Grey and Grey Seer.

If it is a change in color due to manufacturer, have you considered trying Colour Forge’s ‘Standard Grey’ to see if that gives more closely matching results? That is supposed to be a direct color match to Mechanicus Standard Grey.

I have not. Colour Forge only recently became available here, so I haven't used them at all, but I'll check that out!

I have tried colour forge and they are good but not quite the perfect match they claim. Their Wolf Grey is close to "The Fang" but not perfect. I use them as close-colour primers and put a thin coat of the GW colour over the top to finish.

Do you have a newish pot of Mechanicus Standard Grey available? Does the new spray vary from that?

Could you send GW an e-mail with the old/new comparison and see what they have to say? They have previously been pretty good at ensuring colour consistency.
