Rowland
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a Sgt and they are the most important part of a team. Senior officers rely on the Sgts for common sense and their team rely on them for guidance and morale but am I missing something in the rules? Other than the possibility of different weapons they don’t seem to add any buffs. Brother Carpenter
They used to have a slightly better morale stat so your troops wouldnt run away so quick also one attack extra due their sword and pistol. Yeah, that’s what I was looking for on the cards but, as you say, their leadership is the same. It would make sense, particularly when precision weapons are used. Thanks for the response. DemonGSides
In the modern game they're less important, but every once in a while the 'sgt' character for a squad does have something special about them; things like the deathshroud terminators their leader model has an extra plaguespurt gauntlet. But in general they're just another guy in the squad for most purposes. Slightly different loadout across most factions, but otherwise that's about it. Most times they act as the "melee guy" in a ranged squad.
