In previous versions of Crusade, they avoided explicitly having Imperium / Chaos / Xenos factions as the 'Campaign Teams', instead they had Alliances which alluded to the actual factions, but were just vague enough to justify you playing for any Alliance (so Not-Chaos would usually be something like Desecrators, Not-Xenos would be Invaders, etc).

This is probably just a continuation of that for the new campaign deck.

Ah, okay.  I wasn’t sure if it was an army building thing.  As someone currently building an Imperium (?) army, I could see the addition of some Astra Militarum to a Space Marine army would work but as my other Army is Tyranids and I’m expanding to an Ork Combat patrol I couldn’t see them playing “nice”.

However, yes, I can see two Tyranid players v 2 of a “side”.
But just being a Beerhammer player with my mate (who is looking to get his own Aeldari Force) I guess if we want to campaign we just ignore the Alliance bit.

I’m new to the Campaign side of things but like the idea of scenarios to play and, to some degree keeping track of achievements and enhancements.

I have no experience of the previous Campaign books.  Do they just give you ideas for separate missions and ways of keeping score?

Is there an Orks v Elvsies one?
