Enthroned Agent ideas

I am gradually getting back in to painting and modelling again after being away for a few months on and off. I am very happy to return to it!

 

I've been looking over my fledgling Imperial Agents force as a break from my IG and GSC, just something a little different to paint, maybe learn some new techniques, and so on. I've always enjoyed the IA stuff, particularly the John Blanche artworks. If you mention Grimdark to me, those pieces are the first that come to mind.

 

Anyhow, I've been looking over making a 1000pt force to do and see about running a skirmish game or two at my LFGS and I've been  eyeballing the Crucible stuff. My Eldar, through pervious conversions, pretty much have their Crucible characters covered without me lifting a finger. IA, though, no. So I am looking to pick your brains for an Enthroned Agent.

 

I am envisaging something along the lines of a Rogue Trader GSC Patriarch's or Nurgle palanquin, though a little more mechanical. I have an old, old IG sentinel kicking around somewhere I can nick the legs off and I am sure I can knock up a seat and a few other bits and bits. What I am trying to work out is the ornamentation. I don't want the model to be huge, Sentinel-sized would probably be about right, but I want it to be completely overblown and bombastic. I can do easy stuff like make all the purity seals I can shake a stick at, model some robes, etc. but I'd like some inspiration.

Google is easy enough to use but I'd much rather get real opinions from you guys than rely on that as a primary source.

Dunecrawler legs will probably too big for what you want, they barely fit on a 100mm round Knight Armiger base.

 

You can look at the upcoming SoB character, she's in a walking throne that may be along the lines of what you want.
