GenesisN8
Hey everyone,I’ve been building a small side project called HobbyArmory and I’d love some feedback. The idea came when I saw how a friend tracked his collection with a giant excel sheet that was really hard to maintain and didn't tell you at a glance how the collection and the backlog looks like. So I said there must be a way to make this easier. After I couldn't find an app that does what I wanted I build my own.Right now HobbyArmory is focused on Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar collection tracking. At the moment you can:- Add box sets from an in-app library or by scanning the barcode- Add custom sets and custom miniatures- Track hobby progress across your collection- Build armies from your collection- Set hobby goals- Upload photos of your miniatures - Paint recipes with colors from Citadel, armypainter, vallejo etc. already included - Paint recipes can be shared and attached to the minis you are already trackingThe set library is not fully complete yet, but I’m adding more all the time, and missing sets can be requested directly in the app.A few features I’m considering next are:- A wishlist for sets and models- A more complete army builder with rules support- Support for more systems, like Horus Heresy and Old WorldSo I’d love to hear:- What would you want from an app like this?- Which features would make you use it long-term?- What feels missing right now?A few quick notes: I’m building this solo, it’s still in beta, so its not perfect yet. And since it came up before, I’m based in Germany, the app is GDPR-compliant and only uses data needed for login; there are no ads. I’m not affiliated with Games Workshop, this is just a fan-made hobby project.Even if you don’t want to test it, I’d still really appreciate feedback on the idea and feature direction. FarFromSam
Time spent painting. A timer or edit feature. It could a fun or frightening way to see how long you've spent painting each model and each army. Yes that would be a very frightening thing to track I will add that :p FarFromSam 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387899-looking-for-feedback-on-my-warhammer-collection-app-project/#findComment-6170387 Share on other sites

MARK0SIAN
This looks like a great project! I mainly focus on Horus Heresy so I wouldn’t be much use as a tester but if you do add it I’ll be happy to help out. One thing I’ve always wanted for my own hobby would be a quick way to see equivalent colours from other paint ranges. So for example of if I selected Mephiston Red it would show me the closest match from other ranges like Vallejo. Obviously I know some colours may not have an exact match and some may not even have a close match but for a lot of the common colours there are definitely equivalents. Perhaps that could be a feature of the recipe part, especially if you were to share your recipes with other users. I’m not a technical person so I don’t know if my suggestion is easy or a huge amount of work so apologies if I’m suggesting something ludicrous Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387899-looking-for-feedback-on-my-warhammer-collection-app-project/#findComment-6170473 Share on other sites

Thanks for the suggestion :) The next system will probably be Old World and after that Horus Heresy. But I will post here when its added, and on my Discord. I dont have something like a Newsletter yet but maybe in the future :) MARK0SIAN 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387899-looking-for-feedback-on-my-warhammer-collection-app-project/#findComment-6170491 Share on other sites
