Thamar Black is, well, black magic. That stuff covers even over white/light grey with only one or two coats. And it lasts forever. I've pulled bottles out after 15+ years and they are still as fresh as the day they were made.

 

Also, P3's Khador Red is one of the best hot rod reds out there.

I'll have you know, I only consume the finest metallic flakes from pots of Vallejo Metal Colour. Or Liquid Metal when I've got company I need to impress.

I can hear the vindication from here.

 

I just want to see how much they differ from a consistency standpoint from the main range. If I am going to be paying more than I do for Pro Acryl or AK for these things, I do not want the "oh cool, new warhammer paint, oh, it's dry/clumpy" when I open the pot for the first time. The last few times I've gone to the local GW for paint (they were lighter colors but still), they've either been super clumpy or some other issue around 50% of the time. I know the store will probably replace it, but it isn't an issue with most other paint ranges, especially when other ranges include mixing balls as part of the cost. 

 

Also super interested to see the marketing behind it.

Still, snark aside, I'll probably try them at one point unless there are some non-creator program reviews that say they're about the same.

Two Thin Coats and Pro Acryl is getting away with charging £4.50 (RRP) in the UK, so I have to expect they'll see that and round up to £5.00 a pot, if not £5.50. 

 

Ultimately us grouchy internet folks aren't really their target audience.

If it's not in dropper bottles I'm out. I already transferred my old GW paints into dropper bottles and started buying stuff from other brands years ago. I might get these if they are good. I can't imagine myself going through a whole bottle of liquitex medium to revive a bunch of Citadel paints again.

I don't care if they're dropper bottles as long as the pots they come in are better than what we have at the moment. Though honestly I can't see me bothering unless they do something really special like going with single/pure pigments for the colours ala Golden acrylics. And the chances of that happening are extremely low.

Bring back the screw top pots. Opening those with dried paint on them will put some hair on your chest.

GW make the pots themselves so the droppers could be ropey, big question is when will they release citadel mixing balls :)

Otherwise I really don't see the point of adding a miniature in a box of paints for professional painters or in general people who already knows the basics paints well.

I dont understand why someone would go to the effort of leaking, open the box, and then not show off any of the actual paints or pots. Very strange.

It could be a "Getting Started"-style kit for the Pro/Tone line, with a few of the line's paints and a single mini.

Because they only have the store promo bit, and not the paints.

 

Kind of looks like the trial sets that the stores would give away but then go and grab the specific set of paints you're going to try.
