Bring back the screw top pots. Opening those with dried paint on them will put some hair on your chest.

I give you a support reaction, not because I support your idea, but because I'm forming a support group for people that survived those pots. At least the current pots didn't need power tools to open.

Now that I think about it, wasn't there also a leak about seemingly single use wet pallets from GW? Afaik that hasn't manifested yet either, but would make sense to come out in tandem with this.

Are they gold-plated, by any chance? Or more accurately, priced like they are?

When I see Tone I think washes, not paint.

I think this is supposed to be "formalising"/branding the 'eavy metal style of multiple layers as it's own things separate from the Contrast style etc rather than being a new paint. And I guess the old 80s-90s style of base, wash and drybrush?

Me too. Especially considering the pics of the Sternguard show 3 different loin cloths painted with different ‘tones’.

I took that as meant to be the same sternguard but at different stages (first, no decal, second has the decal and washed recesses and is table top ready, third has the final level of detailing (deeper tabard colour, helmet and trims back to bright white vs the washed look plus a finished base with static grass)

I'm intrigued but not going to be rushing out for any new paint lines form GW. The current ranges do me well enough and I've been playing more with other brands so will likely continue to do so. I've been stung enough times by GW changing the ranges that if they do it again I'm likely to fully move away from them for any new projects

Just looks to me like three levels of painting, each progressively more detailed. Battle Ready / Parade Ready / TONE|PRO™ Ready?
