Lord Marshal
HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!!! Quote The kit comes with the options to base Cain and Jurgen separately or back-to-back on a larger base to make a mini diorama. Quote To celebrate the release of Cain’s new miniature, a special illustrated and annotated version of his first full-length novel, For the Emperor, is also coming out. The classic tale sees Cain and his regiment of Valhallans struggling to maintain order at an Imperial outpost on the edges of the T’au Empire. This new edition includes 15 brand-new illustrations and 130 annotations by author Sandy Mitchell. darkhorse0607
I am so happy. The way they painted Cains face is weird and makes him look like a monkey But I am so happy sbarnby71 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387972-ciphas-cain-and-jurgen-model/#findComment-6171762 Share on other sites
DemonGSides
I don't like them. Faces just seem wrong. Cool commisar model as long as the head is removable. And Jurgen is the same. I agree, super hyped they get minis but compare them to the artwork in the back of the promo and one is a chiselled handsome commissar and the other looks like the chimp from the Robbie Williams movie. sitnam
I haven't read the Cain stuff in years (2008?) but man these are cool. GW painting hardly ever looks good on faces. Id hold judgement on them Edited 11 minutes ago by sitnam mel_danes 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387972-ciphas-cain-and-jurgen-model/#findComment-6171765 Share on other sites

Probably because any artwork where Cain is attractive or heroic is, rather amusingly, firmly established as in-universe propaganda. Cain isn't particularly attractive otherwise - and Jurgen very definitely isn't. redmapa
I like it, the face is a bit weird but I think it fits this idea that the mini isn't peak Cain but middle aged, a bit chubby, bit worn and not like the propaganda posters yet still being the smug bastard he can be. Orange Knight
Lord Marshall is so fast with the updates. This is a must-buy mini. I don't actually like it all that much, I think he looks off, but he's still too much of an icon. Fingers crossed that he has some thematic rules! Too big of an opportunity to miss.
