L30n1d4s
Now that you can take multiple detachments, I think the Firestorm Assault Force "Immolation Protocols" strategem, combined with rerolls from Vulkan and a max squad of Infernus Marines led by a Librarian with the Fussilade enhancement (gives his unit anti Monster/Vehicle 5+) is going to be exceptionally deadly. That new super dangerous Defiler causing problems? Just Drop Pod in the Infernus/Librarian squad, point at the Defiler with Vulkan, and you are doing 19-20 MWs on average (i.e. killing the Defiler in a single volley). Of course, this costs 2CP, so need to save up for it, but still super effective for taking out otherwise very dangerous/tough units. Karhedron
It looks good on paper but it depends on how many DPs the Firestorm Detachment is. A lot of the ones they have shown so far are 3DPs meaning that the bolt-on Detachments like Librarius will see minimal use. Hopefully we should get a list of DP costs for existing Detachments soon. Malakithe
To be fair in Forgefathers they could already do this without Librarius but now it might be even more ridiculous Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388025-firestorm-assault-force-librarious-conclave/#findComment-6174459 Share on other sites

The AP is from Librarius but as far as deleting anything in the game Forgefathers has been doing this with their in built combo. I think the Librarius stuff will be nice for other combos spread out more. Dr. Clock
I'm doing this tonight, although honestly I'm slapping Fusillade on a unit of Sternguard bolters so the Anti+Dev shenanigans work out of the box. 2CP dev flamers is good, but it's 'in case of emergency' for me, not bread and butter, simply on account of the 2CP cost. List right now (2000 points assuming Temporal Corridor is 30pts): Vulkan + Company Champions - Camp middle rear and sight forgefather. Try not to die. Librarian + Fusillade + 10 Sternguard w/bolters and 2 heavy bolters. Set up and start blasting big stuff Librarian + 10 Infernus Marines + Landraider. Roll on to far expansion and get involved in some Forgefather Pyromancy Terminator Librarian + Temporal Corridor + 5 terminators. Uppy-downy harassment fun 5 MM Devs + Razorback - Early Oath hunter Ballistus - home defense sniper Redemptor - centre trade Vindicator - centre trade I know this isn't really competitive with the dreadnoughts in there, but it's gonna be fun if I can line up a couple favorable trades early on. Edit: game got canceled last minute : ( Still super looking forward to this list. Cheers, The Good Doctor. Galron
I played against this combo last weekend. He fielded the forgefather version and had Argax and Vulkan, 30 infernus, 20 assault intercessors(one with each named), a librarian in each infernus squad and some other odds and ends. It was a rough fight and he made good use of the fall back and shoot strat. I won but I had two ten man blocks of terminators with a banner which made higher S weapons -1 to wound negating his OOM. The constant S7 torrents with -2 AP was nasty especially when he put two squads on one terminator squad and kept leaving combat to shoot me. It was costing me a couple terminators per squad. Now this is obviously a meme list he was using. He had no mobility once I killed his two transports. I was playing Priority Assets and was scoring all over the place except his home objective thanks to some cheeky infiltrators. I think the main reason he lost was he was too concerned with my terminators and didnt have the ranged firepower to shoot my other units or the mobility to get to them. His libbys had no enhancements except one of the forgefire enhancements, meanwhile I had scouts and a termy libby with the temp corridor. He was fast initially getting advance and shoot but bogged down vs the termies which lasted 4 player rounds against the 20ish super infernus and argax finally brought them down in close combat. Its a good combo but requires knowing when to not get tunnel vision. jaxom 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388025-firestorm-assault-force-librarious-conclave/#findComment-6176961 Share on other sites
