The Pounder
I’ve never done nmm but it’s looking good! As far as brushes go, Winsor and Newton Series 7 are good as are Golden Maple. In my experience they last a long time as long as you’re gentle with them! YoungWolf7
If you like the size 1 W&N, then a size 0 and 00 would do great for detail work. Go with the best. ;) 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388119-backlog-busting-nmm-world-eaters/page/2/#findComment-6188687 Share on other sites

MoriyaSchism
The mixed armour mark Command Squad Marines look great. Really inspiring stuff, especially the work on the Mark IV legs. How did you make that Auspex bit on the Apothecary? 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388119-backlog-busting-nmm-world-eaters/page/2/#findComment-6189227 Share on other sites
Blissful Brushes
Thanks!! They’re both just chopped up intercessors - I don’t pay extra for characters now, I just make myself suffer through the conversion work. The backpack/narthecium is from Kromlech I believe and the left arm is actually just one of the old HH bolter arms from when you slotted the bolter on top of the outstretched palm. I just chucked an auspex there instead. I found the unpainted version: Edited September 26 by Blissful Brushes 2 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388119-backlog-busting-nmm-world-eaters/page/2/#findComment-6189236 Share on other sites
MoriyaSchism
That sort of kitbash and conversion work is the best. I strive to do the same, I was working on a Librarian made out of one of the starter Assault Intercessors. I still need to finish resculpting his armour so he's less recognizable as just an Intercessor. 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388119-backlog-busting-nmm-world-eaters/page/2/#findComment-6189240 Share on other sites

The Pounder
Agreed, the red is so vibrant, outstanding. Back on the conversions, time very well spent! 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388119-backlog-busting-nmm-world-eaters/page/2/#findComment-6190254 Share on other sites
Blissful Brushes
Thanks! I’m quite chuffed with them tbh. In true ADHD fashion however, I have segued into my Luna Wolves who for those who don’t know, are primaris because bigger is better. Sadly Cataphractii missed that memo, so I’m sodryong them out myself from indomitus & my OG from Betrayal of Calth. Early days still but I’ve got the hulk and rough shape in I think. Once the new heads arrive I’ll work out how high I need to go for the gorget but I like the silhouette so far I think. Do I need bigger shoulder pads, that’s the question - these are the original HH scale so part of me is tempted to add a mm or 2 to make them very big, but another part of me thinks that really is daft. Thighs are honking right now so they’re probably getting redone but I’m on my hols next week so thought I’d drop a quick update before I escape!
