The War Guard: Imperial Fists Successors of Khemaris

I’d like to introduce a custom Adeptus Astartes Chapter I’ve been developing: The War Guard.

The Core Concept Founded during the 25th Founding from Imperial Fists gene-seed, the War Guard are defined by a discovery made during the construction of their fortress monastery on the arid world of Khemaris. Deep beneath the Mesa of Kharduun, they uncovered a pre-Imperial archive containing fragmented military records and field manuals from Old Terra—cataloged now as the “TM” system.

Doctrinal Identity: "Doctrine Over Glory" Unlike many Chapters that celebrate individual heroism or "heroic" last stands, the War Guard view warfare as a series of operational problems to be solved with precision and logic. Their philosophy, known as the "Burden of Selection," mandates that an officer’s primary duty is force preservation and the rejection of reckless aggression.

Reconnaissance First: They rarely commit to an assault without extensive intelligence gathering from the 10th Company and Marksman Sections.

Combined Arms: Their battlefield presence is characterized by synchronized armored spearheads, disciplined Gravis-armored infantry, and overwhelming Suppression Doctrine.

Technical Reliability: Due to their isolation, they possess few "magic relics." Instead, they treat their wargear with an obsessive maintenance discipline, viewing a functioning bolter as more sacred than a golden crown.

Visual Identity The Chapter utilizes a Muted Tan primary armor color (derived from the dust plains of Khemaris) with Black trim and OD Green detailing.

The Helmet System: Standard battle-brothers wear tan helmets, while 1st Company Veterans are distinguished by full black helmets.

Specialist Markings: They utilize a role-based identification system, such as Orange upper/White lower faceplates for their specialized suppression and heavy weapons units.

Key Figures & Assets

Chapter Master Alexander Ptah: A veteran of urban siege warfare who codifies the Chapter's "Iron Advance".

The Primaris Tacticus: An elite ten-man veteran command cadre that functions as a "command wedge" on the front lines.

Mors Khamsin: A venerable Repulsor Executioner command vehicle whose machine-spirit "Core" has survived multiple hull losses over centuries.

The War Guard do not seek war for glory; they seek to end it correctly.

If you’re interested in more detailed lore regarding their specific Company structures or the gameplay rules I’ve developed for their TM-calibrated weapons and suppression cells, let me know!
