Looks like they're not far out of scale, if at all, with the older kit. That's definitely good news for Orks players.

From the preview I AM concerned about the base S5. They shouldn't be wounding Marines at the same rate as Sisters or Guardsmen.

Why shouldnt they? They are basically pure muscle and rage with giant weapons

They showed new trukks compared to the old, and it looked great alongside them. I think it might be a tad less bulky but nothing noticable

Good lord are Orks ever doing well with this revamp. The Trukk is gorgeous, the Mek's all kinds of fun, and on top of it all they kick Space Marines out of their traditional first release slot. Everything's coming up green.

Seriously, as a grognard who still has fond memories of being sixteen years old and excitedly ripping into a box of 3rd Ed Boyz on their first day of release, I was really prepped to ignore this release, but GW's completely knocked it out of the park here. Good on the team for it, I hope they're as proud as they deserve to be.

Not sure where else to put this, but they showed off more options for that Warboss that got revealed early a while back:

Nice to see some more dedicated Blood Axe bits, imo.

The new Mek also feels a but Blood Axe-ish but that might just be him having a screw in his mouth like a cigar.

Just on the codex, while I'm glad to hear that they're bringing back lore on each unit, I'm a little concerned that there was no reference to any crucible of champions content in the book, meaning that there really won't be anything to replace Crusade content in the codexes

Hmm, true. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if it had it and they just omitted it like the rest of the wave or the warboss hat options. I'd also take a quick errata to split the kombi-weapons, though with the fast and loose nature of crucible, and the standardised approach to point costs it'll be fine to handwave anyway.

Those look like split Kombi-weapons to me...

Hopefully this is a good portent for the edition to come.

Edit: I have no clue why the quality on that image is so bad...

Is this new artwork or reused artwork? After the laziness of the 10th edition codices reusing 9th edition cover art, I'm hoping we can get some nice new art for the 11th edition codices.

I assume they didn't reveal a codex roadmap? Just Orks first, then Space Marines next?

I'm getting more and more tempted to cast all my other projects aside and start an Ork army. These new sets are gorgeous, especially that Trukk kit. I really like how they worked in some of the buggy design elements while still keeping the silhouette similar. That Blood Axe head for the Warboss is also amazing. The summer of Waaagh is going to be a good one!

I think its new, or at least, hasn't been used as codex art work
