I probably got the Black Templars and Dark Angels mixed up, and I don't count the upgrade sprues but I guess you can add 1 kit to all the chapters.

But Wolves and DAngels are the standard, so until all the "popular chapters" have as many riches, we shouldn't complain about any of them.

@DemonGSides

What are you disagreeing with?

I said that all the big chapters should have as much support as the Wolves and Dark Angels. Why are you not in agreement? Lol

Unless you have a bias?

I don't drop emojis to get dragged into pissing matches, but I don't think there's any issue with complaining about your preferred faction not getting a model.  I don't agree with "so until all the "popular chapters" have as many riches, we shouldn't complain about any of them." Because that's stupid.

And everyone has biases.

There is a difference between complaining about your faction not getting a model, and attacking another faction for getting one.

One is an expression of disappointment, the other is spiteful negativity. It's even worse when the focus of your spite isn't even the main culprit.

So yes, I will stand by my point of view; I think all the chapters should get more support, and the Space Wolves and Dark Angels are the gold standard that should be followed.

Anyways, we have a lot more Marine releases in the coming months: New Intercessors, New Eradicators, New Outriders, Outrider Captain etc etc, and there WILL be new characters - one rumour points to a new Pedro Kantor.

i like the mini but 100% wouldnt mind it being not a thing if other chapters got theirs.

Personally id love white scars, Iron hands, and Sallies to get as much love as space wolves and blood angels etc.

Current rumours talk about Pedro in relation to the 40th anniversary talk, which coild work given who was on the rogue trader cover.

I believe they will in time, its only a matter of when, not if

Here’s hoping all chapters get the care and attention they deserve!

Though personally I can’t wait to see more Ultramarines!

I love this sculpt and if they do a new Guilliman (without the angel wings) Cassius and Tyrannic War Veterans I’d be very happy indeed.

Modern Tyrannic War Vets with loads of bionics, damaged and improvised armour and chitinous trophies would be awesome. And I'd love for a new Cassius to join them.

A new Guilliman I could take or leave, but if it was wrathful Guilliman along the lines of the cover of the 'Know No Fear' cover I could be convinced.

But I hope any more Ultras love comes with love for the others. A minimum, all the first founding chapters should get another character and an upgrade sprue on par with the UM, BA, and DA ones.

As for the actual topic on hand: I wonder what the rules will be like for Kaius? I can see him having leader, but maybe being able to gain support as long as he is joining a unit with Calgar? But that would step on the toes of Sicarius a little.

It might be a controversial take, but apart from the well established units and named Characters, I'd rather get more minis like Karlaen and the Lt, who are 'this is an ornately sculpted Blood Angels version of a legal character set up, but don't add any new rules', than get 'here is new character, here is his new datasheet and his new rules' I don't need balancing and rules workloads to get heavier, I just like nice models.

So I hate that it is an Ultramarine, but credit where credit is due, it is actually a very cool looking model, probably best looking Ultramarine sculpt there is. I usually really dislike the overblinged style Ultra elites and characters have, but this time it somehow works. And the pose is very cool. I am already contemplating how I could convert this model to use for my chapter.

I don't get the lore though. What is his role? Isn't Sicarius already the Victrix champion?

Lovely looking model. Seems to take some inspiration from some of the 30k Ultramarines which I like. That Greco-Roman vibe looks spiffing in blue and gold.

I would love to see updated Tyranic War veterans in this Greco-Roman style (but not targeted at killing only nids). Or fulmentarus terminators.

As an unironic fan of blue vanilla I do have to protest; please give the other chapters some love.

Right? Like you make a not blue chapter poster boys and then you don’t introduce anything new for them with the reveals? Great.

Valrak was talking about a rumoured Blood Angels named hero in Terminator armour....

Probably because gw is waiting for their codex update to give them new stuff, but that would be a wait as the BA book is rumoured to not be in the first four out

This is why I'm of the opinion that all Marines should be in one book, or they should be spread across two - the same way they do it in the Horus Heresy. One codex for all the generic units and army rule, and a 2nd codex supplement for the chapter lore, all unique units and rules.

Everything gets released at once, you don't have to wait years for your chapter to get updated rules, model drops for the faction are more condensed so other factions can get more attention for the rest of the edition, etc etc etc.

We all know the Marine codex will drop at some point this year, but Space Wolves/Dark Angels/Blood Angels/Templars could end up waiting months/years before they get their updated rules.

At one point we had exactly that with Codex; Space Marines, and Codex Supplement: Angels of Death. I felt it worked well as the supplement was a tonne of extra rules, and lore for other chapters, but wasn't necessary to play a decent Space Marine army. The Supplement was also a decent mid-edition update for marines by including new model rules as well with the Contemptor and Cataphractii Captain rules.

I personally would prefer separate supplements for each 'bloodline', mainly so there is space to give each one expansive lore and lots of flavourful rules.

Conversely that would mean they have to drop what is inevitably 30%+ of the editions new minis in 1 release.

I have no issue with the special marines waiting for a while, I fail to see why they should get special treatment both in getting more stuff and avoiding the usual release anxiety everyone else had to handle.

They can spread the release wave over a few months.

At least everyone will know where they stand. And it would benefit the game balance - something which is a major focus of GW currently.
