Will reserve judgement until seeing clearer pictures, but the shoulder pads seem a bit off compared to the resin ones. Not saying it's a fake, likelier they've redesigned some parts. Maybe it's the angle

Well, I am happy I decided not to buy some Terminators last month because I had a feeling that the old ones are going away because they don't match the new aesthetic

Those are, uhhh, yeah. I reserve judgement to when we see the actual sculpts in HD (and in non-GW hands) but compared to the practically 1:1 copies of the resins we've had thus far, these ones seem like the first L to me. It may just be the awkward, 40k Centurion-like posing from that angle, though.

 

 

Also seems like it's soft-confirming that 40k will still be expected to use the old Guard sculpts? At least 'officially'.

The posing looks very stiff. I appreciate they are plastic updates of the old resin models, but they look like they blend in much better with the old custodes than the new designs, which would be a slightly odd choice.

I'm torn. On the one hand, these look nice and chunky. But on the other they are very different from the current ones which I love.

 

So logically I will buy both!

 

What I am finding very interesting is they have new and old kits side by side. So is the current Custodes kit staying in 40k alongside the new ones? Also glad to see Allarus still there alongside the new Aquilons. So it's looking likely right now that Custodes will not be losing anything, only gaining with the new codex.

They're literally there in the image with them though. The current 40k guardians are stood there with an allarus shield captain.

Yeah I am baffled as well. I dont really understand the driver for that. There's so much overlap forming that it make little sense.

The poses aren't doing them any favors but I like them, good to see more units getting new plastic kit! Im still very skeptical about their rules, until I see all these new models in the codex itself Im still assuming they are going into legends for 40k.

Depending on what Emperor's Children get or don't get come their Codex, I might steal these to make some unique, extra fancy Terminators for them. I do need to see better pics, obviously, and they'll give us those sooner or later, but I do like the claws on them, and the general proportions. I do miss the plumes though.

They look like knockoff 3D print files. The proportions and poses are just "off."

I don't like it. They simplified the eagle that sits on the cowl. It seems the the cowl was radically changed as well. The lastrum stormbolter doesn't look right either. Just from this blurry view it looks like another Specialist Games Studio infantry disappointment. They also look pinched at the waist like the recent Heresy Terminator release. 

To any studio sculptors that may read this: "Just put the one to one resin to plastic conversion in the bag." 
They should keep their "original" innovations to themselves.

I like how the lastrum storm bolters share the cowling present in the big lastrum weapons. I like the neck armor change. I’m not sure about the eagle on the back  change; I want to see high resolution detail pics of it.

I went and tried my hand at a size comparison, scuffed as it may be and probably not very long lasting since there's a non-zero chance GW reveal these relatively soon, but I digress.

 

First I tried to overlay these two on top of each other and scale them until they lined up as best as I could get them.

 

 

And then I cropped one of the Aquilons from the leak and inserted him into the family photo. The angle doesn't quite match, of course, but it's not like I've got a choice on that matter.

Need a better pic, the resin kit is my favourite type of terminator armour. Shame to see it so radically changed.

I absolutely love the original Aquilon Terminators but not a fan of those. Hope they get a decent rules update for 40k and what seems as more weapon options.

I could imagine that the one in the center of the image has a power claw; the have long sharp fingers on them.
