Wrath of Macragge continues a sterling tradition of Space Marines stabbing Orks on bases, depicting a dynamic Bladeguard Veteran dispatching an Ork in the midst of a furious melee. Don’t let the name fool you – while the image above is painted in the glorious blue of a son of Guilliman, there are no sculpted Ultramarines details on the model, so yours can be from whatever Chapter you like*.

You also get a yearbook included, so there's that. Brace for subscription increase I suppose. Increasing by £1 a month.

The Warhammer Yearbook is a new addition to your subscription for 2026. This is a lavish, coffee table-style annual packed with photos and artwork celebrating the worlds of Warhammer. This book, like the miniatures above, are included in your subscription.

Plus some dates.

New animations will include a perilous journey into the Mortal Realms, and the much anticipated Astartes II, set to drop this December. If you’ve not watched it yet, there’s a little snippet of both these animations in the video at the top of this page.

Well that's my new Ultramarine Lieutenant sorted!

Hard to believe that this is the first Warhammer+ model that is a Marine. But it does look epic. And I do appreciate that he is chapter agnostic.

The Warhammer annual mentioned in the article is interesting as well. Fingers crossed it dosen't herald a price increase though.

Got an e-mail form them with the price changes- "We wanted to give you a heads up that monthly subscriptions will also be changing in price from £5.99 to £6.99 per month. The price of an annual subscription will change from £49.99 to £61.99 – the equivalent of 12 months for the price of 9."

Really like that one

Dunno if its enough for me to get WH+

But I really like it

Feels like they saw how popular Bayard's Revenge was and decided to have another crack at it, this time one-handed!

It's a nice marine and ties in well with Armageddon though the Ork pose doesnt looks as good as the one on Bayard's Revenge

Not sure this and the other model/book are enough to tempt me back again having stopped a couple of years ago. I might have considered it if I was able to get these and also buy the Eldar one from the last year as I do like that but wasnt going to get a subscription for it alone.

I don't understand why it is called "Wrath of Macragge". It doesn't look particularly ultramarines themed. Bladeguard look more naturally BT themed imo.

It is an ok looking model, I just think the original templar one looks better.

Given I got Helbrecht, Bayard's Revenge and that one sergeant guy from back when, this feels like he'll fit right in.

EDIT: Nevermind! The text clearly says the the model is chapter agnostic despite the name!

Would´ve been great idea to make it Tyrannic war veteran killing Warrior or such if GW is wishing to push out 50 more ultrasmurfs again.

Looks like blade guard are getting mixed armour too. The left shoulder pad looks like it came from a terminator.

The pad doesn't have the typical indent in the front that you find on terminator shoulder pads, it also appears to be completely uniform at the bottom, which I can't recall Indomitus terminator pads ever being. They always have the bit that goes further down in the center of the bottom rim.

Rather I find the left pad more reminiscent of a Mk VI pad, though with blade guard thickness (and without bonding studs, though it has rivets along the edge).
