Greetings, all!

In ages past, I rolled dice and painted miniatures for the glorious Kingdom of Bretonnia in Warhammer Fantasy, since the 4th Edition years. I accrued a substantial army of miniatures and delved deeply into the hobby. I was particularly proud of some of the sculpting I did with green stuff, having created King Louen Leoncoeur and his hippogryph, Beauquis, by heavily converting the magnificent Karl Franz plastic kit. The most "recent" iteration of Louen never really worked for me.

The End Times of Warhammer Fantasy coincided with a number of personal events that had me phase out from the wargaming hobby for nigh a decade (fatherhood, several family deaths, a demanding but rewarding career). I *did* discover 5E, and have been running a campaign for nearly 5 years now with some of my dearest friends.

However, I now endeavor to plunge into this world that has gripped my fascination since I opened my first White Dwarf in 1998. I have finally resolved to start slowly growing a Dark Angels Successor army, and have been crafting their lore obsessively over the past couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to sharing what I've written in the near future. This community provides wonderful feedback and I hope to improve because of it!

When I played Bretonnia, I was extremely active on the fan site The Round Table of Bretonnia (usename: Gastion le Vaillant). I had an on-site painting blog, wrote a number of fanfic short stories, and ran a play-by-post RPG thread. While I doubt I'll be quite so active now, I'm optimistic about slowly growing a new army and enjoying this thriving community.
