tidbits (all direct quotes):

Each warrior will be better, stronger, and faster, making them feel like the superhuman soldiers they are supposed to be. This will also mean an increase in points values, so armies will be smaller, playing like the elite strike forces from the lore.

Your basic warriors are becoming Strength 5

Phobos-armoured troops stay at Toughness 4, but get a movement boost to 8 inches

The following units are leaving the codex and becoming Legendary Proxies.

  • Tactical Squad – counts as an Intercessor Squad

  • Devastator Squad – counts as a Desolation Squad

  • Suppressor Squad  – counts as an Inceptor Squad

  • Pedro Kantor – counts as a Captain

  • Uriel Ventris  – counts as a Captain

These units are leaving the codex, but will get Warhammer Legends rules:

  • Centurion Assault Squad

  • Centurion Devastator Squad

  • Razorback

  • Predator Destructor

  • Predator Annihilator

  • Vindicator

  • Whirlwind

  • Stormhawk Interceptor

  • Stormtalon Gunship

  • Stormraven Gunship

  • Hammerfall Bunker

I'm going to play 10th codexes using 11th rules, at least until all the armies I own or plan to own have had their 11th updates.

This is a huge problem with the 3 year time frame. 10th is finished, which means all the forces are as balanced as they will ever be, for good or for ill - some will have ended better than others, some will benefit from 11ths changes better than others, but at least it's done. 11th won't be done until 12th hits, and that includes those fortunate enough to have early releases. I know that is the way it always has been, but it's very frustrating.

I bet Deathwing Terminator armies are going to very tiny.

What on earth are they giving to some of the other forces in the interim?

2 wound gaunts, s6 ap-1 pulse rifles, lethal hits t5 necron warriors? What is the plan here to make it so nobody else sucks for years?

Nothing?  Space Marines do not play like how most people would assume they do from the lore; they are borderline a horde army with how many bodies you can stack in a list, for an army that's supposed to represent an elite special forces type unit that traditionally works alongside more standard battlefield army set-ups.

Now they'll be priced higher and hit more in line with where most people's expectations are.  My personal experience is that no one had any issue removing T4 bodies, and I don't think T5 really changes things that much; people seem more than capable of removing T6 Plague Marine bodies without too much consternation so I don't think T5 is some crazy new breakpoint; lasguns still hit the same.
