Apokalypsi
Got a friendly 2k game against Chaos Knights on Saturday. My plan was taking Beastslayer and LoSaS for the lethals and durability. I'm concerned those dispositions are going to struggle regardless of what he takes. Anyone have experience/advice going into Knights? Karhedron
Wulfen with Hammers are decent but the ace up your sleave is Arjac. All the big Knights have the CHARACTER keyword meaning that he gets full rerolls to Hit and Wound against them with Anti-Vehicle 3+ Hammer! He also gives the Termies he leads a 4+ Fight on Death meaning that even if the opponent strikes first, you have the chance to get some hits in. Look for other durable units besides your Terminators. Some Sword and Shield Headhunters led by a Wolf Priest might be worth a look as they are a durable as Terminators against S10+ attacks and the Priest can bring back one every turn. They can certainly hold an Objective against a less melee-orientated Knight. Looking at Dispositions, Beastslayer (Purge) is going to be tough into Knights as you will struggle to rack up the kills. I think that LOSAS (T&H) will probably be a better bet simply as his lack of numbers will work against him. Take a squad or two of Intercessors to sticky Objectives. Knights have the firepower to hose most units off an Objective but if you have stickied it, he will have to actually walk over and sit on it to stop you scoring.
