A regular opponent of mine has been extolling the virtues of this since 11th changed it to a flying transport, but not Aircraft.

As I understand it this is possible;

Turn one in no mans land, upwards of 24 models (20 warriors, leader, support, cryptothralls?) could be dropped off on my doorstep, unleash a hellish salvo of 40+ lethal hits attacks (that could crit on 5+ with a certain cryptek?), then it can get back in the transport in the fight phase provided it isn't engaged. Then, at the end of my turn (I'm the opponent) that transport and its occupants can be yoinked from the board and the same thing can happen again pretty much immediately.

That seems glorious, and ridiculous, and I'm here for both. But is it true? He won't be lying, but it's a new edition and we're both getting things wrong.

Also, if it is legit, is it as good as it sounds and/or is it easily countered? A lot of things seem overpowered in isolation but often turn out to be unreliable or overpriced etc

That's a cool concept that is notoriously difficult to pull off in 11th edion, especially with the dense terrain that populates missions.

Fitting a massive transport and 20 Warriors/characters wholly within 6 inches of it requires some serious real estate on the board.
