The list has 25 Intercessors at its core, most likely with 5 Hellblasters. 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388651-tacticus-firestorm-force/page/3/#findComment-6193632 Share on other sites

So my 4 patrol list went 2-1 in the tournament I took them to. Got bodied by a nid-zilla list with a hot rolling player (passed 80% of his 4+ sv), can't do much against luck. A tabled a fellow marine player (ForgeFaters/Firestrom) in three turns. Extra shots and used the sus1 strat just about every turn.. Game 3 was against Custodes and I cleared the field as well by end of game. While Firestorm helped, the Gravis Siege Force did most of the heavy lifting as it took His command terminators and a warden squad two turns to nearly chew through my HI unit. I'm going to look into that near 100 marine list later, Hopefully I'll get a game in with them over the weekend. Galron
Thats the problem I see. Monster heavy or high T lists. Im thinking about running this for the LOLs for my group's next crusade. But I have friend who while adjusting whenever the points or a major rule changes, brings the same nidzilla list specifically designed to kill marines every game. Thats its entire job and he has been playing it for over a decade now. If the rules change and nidzilla monster B becomes better than A at killing marines according to the math, he swaps in three of those. As I was building my starting list at 1k points I was thinking about his list and how I could beat it with all infantry and I didnt really come up with a lot since he would be on me T2, T3 at the latest. What I am thinking about for the first 1k remember this is crusade: Right now its Tacitus Firestorm and Tactical Brethren. When we go up to 1k+ it will be Tacitus Firestorm and Wrath of the Rock for more durable infantry. Venerable Battle Brother Ballistus dreadnought with a conversion field, and twin multi-melta, tactical precision. Captain with Company Heroes 10 man intercessors 2 grenade launchers, thunder hammer 5 man intercessors 1 grenade launcher, thunder hammer 5 man hellblasters 5 man Sternguard with heavy bolter Hailstrike Speeder. The speeder is the ?. Dropping it would leave me with 115 points allowing another hellblaster squad or pretty much any shooty infantry but it does carry decent firepower on its own and strips cover and is the only thing with speed. Although I could bring in a jump pack unit of Vanguard vets or intercessors. That might be the better option. I should put my thoughts up for the Demi-Company challenge I want to do. It overlaps with discussion here, but isn’t quite the same, especially if one embraces Gravis and/or Phobos.
