Hi all.

How are you all doing? Quick bit of background for those who don't know me (which is probably most I'd imagine). It's been a while since I was last here. Life took some unexpected turns (I became a dad, as well as an unexpected condition), so I took some time out of the hobby. I kept some of my Chaos Marines and I also had a Guard army, both of which are essentially shelved until further notice. That said, I did manage to keep up with the hobby news, amd decided this year I would restart with Imperial Knights. Nice big models that can be done at my own pace as I don't have a whole lot of time these days.

I picked some Armigers a while back (pics below but they are WIP, just details to do now). For my birthday, my brother got me a Questoris, which I assembled as an Errant. I also managed to get a Valourstrike Lance boxed set off eBay, they are waiting to be assembled though. My plan for them is a Paladin (nice and versatile) and the Armigers will be 50/50 Helverins and Warglaives. I also have a Castellan on the way, which round the force out to 2k points. They will run as a Freeblade Detachment, which ties in with their background.

I present Baron Danail Blankhaus, son of High Baroness Blankhaus. Often the first to a fight, he seeks the largest foes and enemy armour. Armed with the suit Pyre Lord, he is often escorted by bonded Warglaives to aid him.

This was the first 40k model I have painted in about 5 years (I did some Blood Bowl 3rd edition models too, boy were they fiddly). I decided to go with a darker red and black scheme, keeping it simple for the moment. I will admit, this model gave me back my love of model painting.

Blankhaus next to the Armigers. Once they are finished I will post up individual pics of them.

Raggiet, Warglaive Armiger

Morning all. I finished the Armigers not long after the Errant, but forgot to post up pics.

This Warglaive Armiger, piloted by Glem Raggiet and dubbed The Entity Ender, is usually found alongside the Pyre Lord and its sibling machines in the thickest of fighting.

Armiger Warglaive with Thermal Spear and Chainglaive (I think those are the correct names, I'll edit if wrong) and a meltagun.

Dolum Cambett pilots the Foe Masher, a Helverin Armiger. Laying done either suppressing fire to keep beasts at bay or shredding through the hordes with remarkable ease, Cambett will usually act as a scout befpre switching to a more reserved position in battle.

Helverin Armiger armed with 2 Helverin Autocannons and a Heavy Stubber.

The Armigers were actually the first Knight models I brought, from a local hobby shop.

I also had some Astrogranite to use up too, which has also been used on the Errant (seen behind Cambett). I must admit I'm not a fan of it, but it came as part of a painting set (I think) and needs using up and it's serving a purpose.
