If you haven't searched it up by now, to answer your question directly, it is software designed for creaters such as authors or game masters, that typically, but not always is part of a community hub where it can be published, as well as stored. I know some people playing narrative use World Anvil, but there several others so just looking to see who might be using them and in what way or share links to their content. I tried the anvil and I didn't really like it, it's ? overly over? I mean it's overloaded and all this stylization vis a bit irritating. while I was still trying to do everything on PC/phone, I used obsidian. Thing is I need something like a builder so that I don't flood the forum with my world and characters and just reserve certain stories to post here. I also want to set it up so it can be shared and used with others. I only picked out WA because that's the one I've heard most about and it's been around a while. Did query the top picks and Obsidian was in the top so maybe I'll look into that.
