L30n1d4s Posted yesterday at 06:00 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:00 PM In my current Dark Angels build (Assault Brethren, Stormlance, and Ironstorm detachments), I am finding a Bike Chaplain (Imperiums Sword enhancement) + 3 Outriders to be quite a "small but mighty" little close combat package. They move 14" base, can auto advance 6" with a Strat and then charge due to my two uses of Assault Doctrine. On the charge, the Chaplain gets 6 x S7 AP-3 Dmg4 attacks with Lance and Sustained Hits, while the Sergeant gets 3 x S8 AP-2 Dmg3 attacks (Lance, Sustained Hits, and Dev Wounds) and the Outriders get 8 x S5 AP-1 Dmg2 attacks (Lance, Sustained Hits 1). The Chaplain alone is often enough to do massive damage, even against Monsters and Vehicles. Finally, after they fought, they can use another Strat to either Fall Back 14" (if they are still engaged) or normal move 14" (if they killed off their charge target), making them able to potentially grab my opponents home objective turn 1 (i.e. 20 + 2D6" move, advance, and Charge, followed by another 14" move), or pop back to somewhere safe so I can set up another charge in future turns. Anyway, been enjoying trying these out, so thought I'd share here. Anyone else have any experience with this combo? 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388756-bikers-chaplain-combo/ Share on other sites
