Some Marine
A shared character? Ummm, Gaunt? Larkin? Corbec? Milo? Bragg? Fereyd? Mkoll? Rawne? I know, I missed something. Brother Sergeant Alasseo
...shared character between series... You were closest with Fereyd, but still waaaaaaay off Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/43170-fluff-competition/page/23/#findComment-546976 Share on other sites
Some Marine
Hmmmm................................................................. since I don't want to re-read the books, I'll say this question is a wee bit hard. I can tell you the Sabbat Worlds is a cluster of over 100 systems along the edge of segmentum pacificus, but not what sector. Watcher in the Dark
This question is pretty ambiguous. In what sector are the Sabbat Worlds most likelyto be in? I've put the problem in bold. Is there a SURE, 100% correct answer? If not...this isn't a good question, IMHO. Some Marine
When you said I was closest with Fereyd, that was the only one with a y in it. So....Slaydo? Brother Sergeant Alasseo
The most likely is to allow for the chance that a piece of fluff established by Dan Abnett is overturned by other fluff considerations, or just plain wrong. As far as I'm concerned there is a sure, 100% certain "right" answer, and friends of mine not on this board have found it without any more help than you guys have had, so it isn't just my deluded fantasies playing tricks on you all. @Some Marine: no, not Slaydo Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/43170-fluff-competition/page/23/#findComment-547316 Share on other sites

Brother Sergeant Alasseo
Nice try Some Marine, but I don't give PM hints. The further hint is that Dan Abnett's Law of Comprehensive Verisimilitude applies. Find a character from the "Founding" section of the Ghost series, that is in another book or set of books by him. That character will lead you to the answer. And if three more people give up or whine about the difficulty I'll give away the answer and set up an easier question. Sanguine Demise
I believe it is the Helican Sub Sector by relation of Inquisitor Heldane, I thought that name sounded familiar between bot the Eisenhorn Trilogy and the Gaunts Ghost series. Am I correct? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/43170-fluff-competition/page/23/#findComment-547896 Share on other sites
brother_haakon
arghhhhhhhhhh. let's piece together the puzzle...... Segmentum Pacificus, named after a founding characters name......The Rawne Sector? Some Marine
Sorry, Haakon, in case you didn't notice, I already tried it. Oh, and, um...Helican? It was also in Ravenor. Sanguine Demise
wasnt Ravenr another would be Inquisitor who was under the tutelage of Inquisitor Eisenhorn, as I recall though he got horribaly wounded in that Imperial Parade gone Nightmare as Rogue Psykers struck. Whats the book ravenor about? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/43170-fluff-competition/page/23/#findComment-547917 Share on other sites
brother_haakon
that's it... it's in the Ravenor sector. I think it's in a White Dwarf somewhere. is that it? Some Marine
Ravenor is an Inquisitor, he was apprenticed to Eisenhorn, he was terribly burned and almost died. Now he is encased in something of a mobile version of the Golden Throne...except it's black. Brother Sergeant Alasseo
Sanguine Demise is closest with the Helican sub-Sector. And I never said the sector was named after the character, only that following the link given by the character will lead you to the answer. However, since this is taking so long and I would hate to disrupt the flow of the topic more than this has already; I'm gonna give it to Sanguine Demise, as the Helican Sub is part of the Scarus sector, which was the answer I was looking for. And the possible character links for thaose that haven't yet figured them out were Inquisitor Defay (tenuous link there), Interrogator Gravier (ditto), and Inquisitor Golesh Constantine Pheppos Heldane, of the Ordo Malleus Helican Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/43170-fluff-competition/page/23/#findComment-548090 Share on other sites
