There are no stupid questions... but the world is full of inquisitive idiots.

I may jump in on this as a way to break my long hiatus.

Tirnan

Wish I had an inquisitive idiot question to ask. I know can I mount the base on the back of 4 Elephants standing on the back of a space swimming giant turtle?Nevermind I'll just follow the rules.

This contest seemed a lot cooler before Boltman won the Canadian Slayer sword! aw man! j/k

now there is some extra tough competition (not to mention his standing in the last one) Its all good.

I have a dread in the works, I dont plan on adding any figures (though somebody chained and bound in leather would work well with a Slannesh dread) what about skeletons/bones, how much of one would be too much (or any other model)?

Rejoice, my children! For Boltman is not entering the dreadnought contest!

Since I have an army to paint, I have too little time to side track. But most importantly, once you go all out on conversions, you never go back. The contest rules are there for a reason, but I find them much too restrictive for my imagination; I wouldn't want to paint a dread up and not do all I wanted with it in terms of add-ons. So I'll skip this one.

Good luck to all!

Try fitting that phrase in with an all goblin, skaven or infantry IG army...

I've converted my dread a fair bit already, I'm just not putting anything on the base that is a model(leaving space for later additions tho). You should really enter, since you apparently have some talent in making winning models :cuss

Well The Dreadnought project I had in mind involved models as casualties, being dragged. I would definetly not be in the spirit of this competition. Besides, I spent 4 months away from painting my army, and I really want to get it finished, my girlfriend is holding my Chaos Warhound Titan (at my request ^_^ ) until I finish the army! ^_^ And since there is already a Dread in the army...

I can't wait to have it done though, then I can work on some other neat ideas I had for future Golden Demons... But how I could ever top what I did with Magmatrax is beyond me... :(

Sorry guys, no Dreaddy this time!

With the sort of progress you've shown, I'd doubt that you couldn't top Magmatrax quite easily. It's a completely other matter if any of the other board members could top it. ^_^

Now join the comp. ^_^

I'll take that as a "No"...

Wrong!

read the thread. For modelling/weapon option purposes, there is no difference between a normal or venerable dread.

As long as it can pass muster as a game legal dread based on Wysiwyg... (without too much clutter on the base) you are good.

Cheers, and happy painting. ^_^

I'm risking a good fishy slapping here myself.

What are the boundaries for WIP pics that can be shared? Would induvidual parts (like just an arm or something to that effect) that have been pretty much fully painted be considered ok? Or are only unpainted or very WIP pics allowed?
