I'm pretty happy with all the little touches, like the granite/concrete hammer, the handed painted grain on the wooden shaft, the freehand icons etc. Turned out ok in the end.

Guess ill put these up here as well

Just finished a second BCJP. The painting is slow but I can speed things up a little now when I know how I want it ;)

Notice the magnetized left pfist arm/chainsword arm on one of the models.

Wow. I finally finished those jump packers. This calls for an celebration! :D

To be honest, they took a lot of time. Mainly due to that I had other matters to attend to besides painting.

WLD: I`ll begin painting those bitz that you so generously traded to me as soon as I have finished my other projects that I had begun before I recieved your package ^_^

First picture. Sorry about the flash but the other group shot pictures came out blurry.

I use vallejo paints, the first coat is almost black but has some 'sombre grey' mixed in to give it a wolfish tone. from there I mix in more and more sombre grey unitl I switch over and do a layer of straight sombre grey, at that point I start mixing in white until finally I'm doing my highlighting with a significantly lighter shade. hope that helps :)

here's another pic!

woot, just finished another wolf! I'm not posting in this thread unless I've got a pic with something new I've finished in it heh..good added incentive eh? at any rate, feel free to take anything you see of mine and use it for your own..I got the inspiration for this fur cloak from the new black templars, so I can't even claim creative originality from it heh.

Hey guys, what's up! It is a-me, the Windrider, live to you from Spain!

There comes a moment in the life of every Warhammer 40.000 player, when he or she must ask him/herself... "when am I gonna wash my hands? The keyboard is grimy, for God's sake!"

Right AFTER that, we get a digi-cam, we get giddy about taking photos, we do crap with it, then learn to get proper photos taken, then have some more hours of practice on Photobucket, and FINALLY, we post some photos of our minis.

Allow me to introduce you to my Wolf Guard Terminators. Yeah, I know the photos are BIG and VERY ZOOMED. The better to see my flagrant mistakes and poor painting skills.

Wolf Guard Grendel

The first Wolf Guard is one I call "Grendel", like the beast Beowulf slew in his saga. The original idea behind this Terminator was surrounding it all in cotton as if it was an apparition, and paint his eyes red, with the rest of the armor in black. Unfortunately, when I finally got my Termies, I forgot about that plan. Here is the result:

Grendel

Grendel, view from the right

I like how he seems to be advancing towards you menacingly. Also, the extra details contribute to the "heavy stepping" motion.

Wolf Guard Kratos

I love this big guy. For some reason, I painted him with a scheme that is repeated on a few of my Grey Hunters. A painted scar. Thus, he looks a lot like Kratos, from the God of War game for the PS2.

Kratos (right side)

Can you smell... victory? Yeah, I know, heavy flamer instead of assault cannon. But I think that in short ranges, a heavy flamer is worth every point it costs, specially if you use drop pods and attack enemy infantry.

Wolf Guard Harbek

You thought I didn't have an assault cannon? Think again... I did give him a power weapon to keep him cheap in an acceptable margin. Most people might prefer powerfists, but meh. I like speed and power, but I can also try and choose who I'm fighting...

Harbek (pose for the ladies and the Orks)

Wolf Guards Erik and Bahkten

Ah, the guy with the over-used name, and the guy with the strange name. The meatshields of the squad if necessary, the idea of Storm Bolters mixed with Lightning Claws is strange, I know, but the firepower I like and sometimes I'd rather stay on the defensive.

Erik

Bahkten (is that a gigantic mutton? )

In case you are wondering, the Lightning Claws were made with toothpicks. How's that for creative thinking and cheap-ass resources? The assault terminators were not out yet when I bought these guys, so I had to improvise. And yes, I know Bahkten's LC is not the same length... that's character, Ok? Character...

I will be posting more photos soon. Stay tuned. (And remember, I hate every single one of you for painting better than me. You better have some good excuse to bash me over my minis  )

MG Nice Land Raider but please make sure the width is only 700.---- Lord Ragnarok

Aw man! Let tt least let the hyperlink stay. :)

Yeah, Sorry about that. When I edited the post I did something screwy and the links didn't work. :(

Should i post it again?

Using the macro funtion really brings out the worst of a model, doesnt it? :)

Dont mind the face, I`m still trying to learn how to paint good faces. This model had to endure several layers before I was somewhat content, including a repainting.

But thats not the reason I post these pictures. No, I`ve magnetized them! :D Now I got a plethora of options when designing my Wolf Guards. I`m gonna add some more magnets to the remaining WG torsos soon enough.

this guy is almost finished, I've still got to trim a bit of flash I missed on the initial pass and repaint a bit, drill out the gun barrel, not a lot but a bit.

I can't believe I'm still waiting on my SW metal shoulderpads!

I really like that wolf tail talisman eddoo! very pro job on it.

Love that first model Haakon. I'd love to be able to paint like that.

Here's some pics of models I've done and am currently working on. First 2 are from when i started my SW army about 5 years ago. still think they are my favourite.

hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Reposting this from Painting/Converting because I thought the Wolves forum might be interested.

Working on my first 40k models, some Space Wolves and thought I'd get some opinions. I actually don't have a codex on me so I'm hoping the armament isn't too bad so far, but they're nore or less for display purposes only anyway.

Here they are, with a regular Tac Marine for scale.

A possible Rune Priest, you can't see it very well but the shield has the Wolf Icon from the accessory sprue on it.
