The paint scheme is Pre-Heresy, but I do not have the modeling skills or pockets to mod the armour. This is two squads of Grey Hunters with a Rune Priest.

I still have much detailing yet to do. Chainsword teeth are going to be enchanted blue with ice blue and skull white tips (the frost weapon effect). Helmet lenses are going to be red. Pack markings are purple field with some black design. These were assembled before I knew anything about shoulder pads, so there are many errors in them, but my army will begin to have more consistency from now on...

I've only been collecting for the past 3-4 weeks now but I have begun to look into modifying models, I thought I would share my experiment with a cyberwolf conversion with you, I used some parts from a poor old marines head, some random tanky vent pieces, some multi core wire and the ever magnificent green-stuff and of course a wolf from the 5 pack wolf kit from GW.

 

Here I chopped out a small sliver of thigh and glued in a piece of vent I had liberated from an Immolater sprue left over from another experiment, removed a portion of the wolf's back and replaced the spine with the ammo train from a storm bolter from the new wolf guard sprue. You can also just see under the head a braid that was taken from another poor marines beard (he has a very cold chin now, just so you know. Also I seem to have misplaced the pic but I used two small slivers of green stuff to edge the ammo train). In addition I used some multi core wire, reduced to three strands and rewound, running from the spinal reinforcement to the thigh.

The other side now and and a corresponding braid. The left eye was cut out and replaced with the targetting equipment from a marine head.

After a lick of paint. Boltgun metal drybrushed on metallic parts, claws and teeth and yellow and black stripes on the green-stuff.

I am also having difficulty getting the Dwarf Bronze to look good after I wash over it with Badab Black however. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
