Sleepwalker
Right- an introduction I think... firstly, I am not an Aegyptus Astartes member, I am just a guy interested in both marines and Egyptians ^_^ However, I recently found a book whilst doing my history essay at Uni that has all the rulers of Egypt listed in it. I don't know if any of you already have such a list or if you don't need it but I thought that it might make a nice list of names that you can use for characters in your armies etc. Anyway- here you go (this is long!) I also have names from Alexandrian conquest, Ptolemaic Period, Roman Period, Babylon, Kassite dynasty and many more. If you want names from a specific time then just PM me! I also have names from Ancient Rome (Marcus Aurelius :D ), all the popes and many many more for all of you readers who don't have an aegyptus army. oh- disclaimer: all text above from: R. Castleden, World History (London, 1994) just in case he reads this and sees me plagiarise his work. It's a good book if you ever see it around- very useful for names! Hope that helps a bit guys and girls. B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/69159-present-for-the-aegyptus-astartes/ Share on other sites
ironloki
Thanks a lot for that i've been looking for some egyptian names for my ptolemaic chapter and i've been using far too many greek names ^_^ . I may have to take you up on the names for the Ptolemies although the majority of them were just simply named after Ptolemy the Savour but with nicknames at the end I think :) Pope names are cool too although a bit hipocritical ie. Pope innocent :P So thanks for that sleepwalker :tu: Also for those looking for names to try and bring your roman chapters into a more gothic scene I suggest looking at the late imperial and Byzantine Period as they have some lovely names ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/69159-present-for-the-aegyptus-astartes/#findComment-789503 Share on other sites
