I normalyplay Space Wolves, but I want a different army to use with Witch hunters. The Color scheme is Black Armor with orange and red flames. The Chapter sign is A flaming fist.

Traits and Disadvantages: Cleanse and Purify to Death before Dishonor

Home World:

The home world is a harsh feral planet, the majority of land mass covered by

volcanoes. The people of the planet, Flarose, are nomadic and do not build lasting

buildings. They are always moving to escape the sulfuric smog to safe lands, where life

can live easier. The tribes rarely use metals, because the heat of the planet would melt it.

Instead, weapons fashioned from animal horns. When tribes march to war, they daub their

faces in the ash of the volcanoes, hoping to gain the strength of the heat from whence it

came.

Organization:

The chapter is organized into 12 Companies. The Company is headed by a

Captain and a group of veterans, instead of just a Captain. The Chapter master is also

restricted by these limitations, and leads a conclave of his captains. These groups are

known as Guiding Flames.

Combat Doctrines:

The Chapter believes largely in the purging and cleansing powers of Flamers, and

are usually the special weapon of choice. There is recorded pyromania in the chapter, and

many of their battle rights and religious ceremonies. Other than that, they follow the

Index Astartes closely, but slight divergence exists in their vehicles. Two examples are

the Dragoon APC and the Volcano Predator. The Dragoon is a standard Rhino, except in

place of the Storm Bolter, they put a Twin-linked Flamer. The Volcano is a Predator with

a Multi-Melta mounted in a turret, and Heavy Flamers suspensions.

Beliefs:

The Order of the Cleansing Flame is part of the Promethan Cult, but their

offerings are to the Emperor, and their offerings are sometimes the enimeis that they face.

Their Belief is absoulute, and fights with the Ordo Herectus often.

Gene Seed:

The Gene Seed is that of the Salamanders Chapter, and may explain the affinity

for fire.

It's a good start, just needs some filling out. There is one main problem however. If the planet is hot enough to melt metals wouldn't it be inhospitable for humans?

I meant the heat caused impurities in the metal, which makes it impossible to smith into anything usefull.

More reason how?
Why do they have 12 Companies?

Why have the created 2 new tanks, when usually most chapters dernt even slightly modify a tank

If you read the geneseed debate, you might want to change this bit. I would say because they see the awesome effects of volcanoes on their homeworld, they use flamers and meltas in battle

I don't mean to be a spoil-sport, but as a blacksmith, I'm going to have to say something about this one: heat doesn't spoil metals, nor add impurities.

Metal might be rare on the world, but excess heat would actually make it easier to forge or purify what's there. I'd suggest making the planet deficient in metal ores - that would do the trick much better. That would also fit in well with the nomadic, animal-based construction.

On other points, by going with 12 companies, you're actually diverging fairly widely from the Codex. There's no reason you can't do it, but just realise that it makes them fairly divergent (in a fluff rather than rules sense).

Why do they fight with the Ordo Hereticus? Write some supporting fluff to tell the story of why.

Keep at it!

Does this help with the Ordo Herectus some?

planet Ophelia VII, this chapter is often recruted into their service because of their faith in

the Emperor and beleif in the cleansing power of fire, and will rarely deny allying with

them. "
