Zhanji
soldier of Fenris Posted Today, 04:45 PM I may have the chapteronly consuming their bretheren not the enemies. BTW may i use that as a chapter motto? If you mean the:"Their blood shall be spilt on barren stone, nourishing NOTHING!", Sure, go ahead. It's something I read in an old comic book. soldier of Fenris Posted Today, 04:58 PM do you reckon i should have more bone in the colour scheme Why should Deathwing have claims on bone coloured armour? Maybe you could trim it/contrast it with tans and browns? Then it shouldn't look to DW. I have never tried it, but there is supposed to be a trick with doing bone colour on Tyranids. I believe it involves painting the models white and dipping them in wood stain. The effect taints the white, making it look more like bone or natural hide. The bugs have more textured plastics for the stain to enhance, so I don't know how it would look on smooth power armour. terror bunny
Red and Bone would work well, and the colours would look symbolic of a cannibal chapter (blood and bones). Zhanji
Tubal Posted Today, 07:07 AM It's called dipping  BRILLIANT!! It's so subtle...I should have thought of it before ^_^ terror bunny Posted Today, 08:37 AM Red and Bone would work well, and the colours would look symbolic of a cannibal chapter (blood and bones). Nice! Savage-looking, yet very militaristic! Definitely NOT Deathwing... Richter
With respect to geneseed, remember that the Holy Adepts of Mars have been known to combine those of the first-founding to create new ones, so you don't necessarily have to stick to one chapter. The Sons of Malice are also known to consume the flesh of their victims. (We're not talking about rumored here - these guys eat dead people.) I'm not sure which of the first founding their geneseed came from though, but there's another possible option. Ferrata
With respect to geneseed, remember that the Holy Adepts of Mars have been known to combine those of the first-founding to create new ones, so you don't necessarily have to stick to one chapter.Only during the cursed founding, every other time they keep it to one seed. The Sons of Malice are also known to consume the flesh of their victims Lots of chapters will have customs like that. soldier of Fenris
so is it not too original then the whole flesh eating thing? bugger Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/79783-cannibal-marine-chapter/page/2/#findComment-943185 Share on other sites
xRagex
If they're going to be a cursed founding you could say that there's a flaw in the geneseed so that they need to feed on their fallen or the fallen on an enemy to keep their space marine abilities or they start either start to get weak or they just go outright crazy. So you'd have a special unit of power armored starving cannibalistic wahoos out for blood. (Yes I did use wahoo as a noun and you loved it!) I hope this helps. Takeda-style
[offtopic] A little offtopic question here (since were in the vicinity anyways), but in what article is it said that gene-seeds were mixed in the cursed founding? (if someone could point it to me, that'd be great) Personally, I would say very no to mixing, considering the article on gene-seed.
