Geneseed - Roboute Guilliman. Home - Emperor's Divinity Fortress Monastary (spaceborne). Chapter Colours - Silver, Gold and Red. Chapter Status - Full Strength, currently conducting operations in the Ultima Segmentum. Fleet Status - Full Strength, All Vessel's Operational. Chapter Traits - Zealous. Up Hold the Honour of the Emperor. Take the Fight to them. Eye to Eye. Brief History:- It is known that the Light Bringer Adeptus Astartes Chapter were Created during the 5th Founding, However the reason for their creation and the location and name of their homeworld have not been recorded. Intial reports of the the Chapters activities indicate that they portray themselves exculsivly as hunters of the Traitor Legions and have effected major operations against these particular foes all over the Galaxy, although their efforts have shifted to the hunting of a particular legion in recent times - namely the Word Bearers. The chaplains of the Light Bringers appear to have a larger Influence within the chapter than that of other Astartes forces, giving rise to concerns that another "Word Bearer incident" could manifest within the chapter itself if it's worship of the Emperor was to be subverted. Concerns have also been voiced about the seeming tardiness with which the Light Bringers view the threat of xeno incursion - seeing alien spiecies as a minimal threat to the security of the Imperium over the real threat of heresy and betrayal. HomeWorld:- Investigations into the Light Bringers Chapter revealed that the Chapters Homeworld [unamed] Was destroyed by unforseen geological events but that they had enough warning to construct their present home - the Emperor's Divinity Fortress Monastary. The Light Bringers Recruits are believed to be chosen from the population of a small Temperate World named Karantis which harbours a people who are thought to be in a Feudal state of development. The exact method of how recruits are chosen is unknown. Geneseed:- The Seed of Guilliman has been used extensivly in the founding of Chapters because of it's stability and the fact that the Light Bringers bear his seed go's far to alleviating some of the fears that corruption could be injected into the chapters doctrine. While the Light Bringers are fully aware that the retain the Geneseed of Roboute Guilliman and acknowlegde his greatness, they view the Emperor as their their True Primarch rather than a diety. Chapter Doctrine:- The Light Bringers Adhere to the Codex closly although their outright zealousness has brought some divergence to the chapters make up, most notably the increase in the training of Chaplains, aswell as the reduction of scout formations. The aim of the Light Bringers is not to subvert non-believers to the worship of the Emperor but simply to crush those who would and have disregarded the will of the Emperor as dictated by the High Lords. The Combat Doctrine of the Chapter seems to move towards close assault but this is by no means the chapters only strength, having shown great skills across thousands of battlefields utilizing all weapons and tactics at their disposal. While the Light Bringers prefer open battles with clearly defined battlelines they have over their long history encountered an arrange of unconventional tactics, the chapter do not engage in Guerilla Warfare but have become quite adapt at countering it. It is quite typical to see the Light Bringers holding Sermons during the even the most savage of battles, while the Chaplians lead the Vanguard of the force into battle the High Chaplians chant their litanies of battle spuring their brethern on to yet another victory. BattleCry:- Much rousing oratory is emitted by the Light Bringers during Battle, but the most common cry is that of - "Faith is our Armour, Praise be his name!" TO BE CONTINUED...... The Word Bearer incident was that they saw the Emperor as a god and spent more time worshipping him/building temples than fighting. The Emp said go fight not worship, kinda like your god telling you he aint I'm not a god. I've just been misquoted. terror bunny Posted August 18, 2005 Author Share Posted August 18, 2005 [first post updated] Aye, they are not word bearers, although they are similar in some respects to the pre-heresy WB. i will have the LB knowing that their primarch is Guilliman, yet they do not worship him simply acknowledge him. They view the Emperor as the True Primarch of all space marines. Ferrata Posted August 18, 2005 Share Posted August 18, 2005 Morning Star Ignore my comments about Morning Star's, I thought your chapter was called the Light Bearers :D people who are thought to be in a Medieval state of development I dont believe Medieval is a descriptive term for a state in 40k. I dount they know what the Medieval Age was. Technically based just prior or just post black powder state. .....
