rat of vengence
Greetings all. I am so glad this forum is back, I can share my marines again! Here is my latest effort. It still needs iconography on the shoulder pads, but is otherwise ready to go. He is a scout I promoted after blowing up a Leman Russ with his bolt pistol. One of those memorable moments... :D . http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/ratofvengence/vetscout2.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/ratofvengence/vetscout1.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/ratofvengence/vetsarge2.jpg The first two pics weren't taken very well, the light source was too far away, so the face looks very bleak. Also, the sword looks better than it does in the pics  . Tell me what you think please! RoV
sallyoz
that is excellent , now even more determined to get new scouts
Obliterator
That green is sweeeet!
Horus Reborn
Agreed. Thats a tasty green. Still not sure I like the strong-man chinned plastic scouts though. At all.
helpermonkey
Very Nice overall. The one critic I have on the model is that the sword blends in tooo much with the model. It would have possibly been better in a different colour. Still looks nice tho
MajorClozer
Definetly should have used a different color for the sword. Something perhaps like shades of blue to offset the sword from the rest of the miniature. All else is good.
The Angelus Sanctus
Im not sure if its because im really tired OR its actually been done, but the over exaggerated jaw line on the scout head actually doesnt look as bad. So assuming its been how its paint, WELL DONE!!! Just doesnt seem as bad as other pics show it to be. Good work
Hasoroth
I'll put it this way, you made the chin on the model look acceptable. Kudos Brother ~WNxHasoroth
Oliver Twist
At first, I was like thats alot of green, but after I looked at it some more, it grew on me. Really nice figure, and I love the face, scope and aquila on the chest.
tahrikmili
I don't like using green for marine scouts. Remember: "Camouflage is the color of fear." Just my 2c :D
philbrad
Very nice, the jawline doesn't look too sqaure either like GW's effort.
rat of vengence
Thanks for the feedback guys. I was quite happy with how the face turned out. It took a fair bit of bold shading to stop it from looking like he could take out a Monolith by biting it. I hope I can do it again for the rest of the squad B) My next project is similar, but with a powerfist. Question, do you think the pants should have some disruptive camoflague or just be left green. the green worked really well, but if it would im,prove the look... Oh, I did the sword in green to be consistent with the rest of my army, and I didn't want too different a colour as it would draw away from the rest of the model. At least so I think :) thanks, RoV
