Very, very nice. Though personally I'd drop the bolt pistol arm down quite a bit (rotate the pistol down) because the posing looks a little unnatural for a paced jog/run. (The arm on the side of the knee you're bringing forwards goes down and back, the back foot goes up.)

bit of an update, as u can see the 'U'ltramarine symbol is in place, the beginin of the belt is also in place, i think it ties the oval into the torso more rather than have it sticking out, gs studs in place, i kno they and most of the gs looks rough but am still workin, and iv covered where the pipes go into the backpack

can anyone give me advice on makin small rivets without usin plastic rod, i can do it with gs but it will take me hrs. and if anyone knows where i can get small plastic rods and a W&N S7 000 brush cheap in the uk (or with uk deliv) can u let me kno, am in desperate need

and by the way does anyone know if the crux terminatus existed pre heresy

cheers guys

Very nice, looks a little thin in the hips and thighs (watching the calories or something? :) ) But overall very nice. Good to see you replaced the standard marine head with a slightly larger one. Always does get on my nerves when people make truescale marines but leave them with tiny heads, completely messes with the anatomy.

Nice work, can't wait to see it finished.

For small diameter plastic rods look for a model shop or model railway shop that stocks Evergreen plastic products, Evergreen produces packs of plastic rod in different diameters in white polystyrene and it can be used to make very nice rivits, just drill small holes and stick in place then trim off to the correct length later, if you give them a thin coat of liquid plastic solvent (Revell contacta liquid is readily available from uk model shops) it will melt the rivets slightly taking of the sharp cut edges and making them look more like rivets
for rivits you could try a leather punch im not sure if they would do any small enough for your needs though. They come in two kinds one is just like a tube with a chamfer that goes to the size you need and you hammer it into a sheet of plasticard and the other kind is like a pair on scissors only in has a wheel with different sizes that you can punch out plasticard with (thats the kind I use). You could try ebay or I got mine a a diy shop, hope this helps

Wasnt too happy the torso so iv removed it hollowed it out a bit, push some fuse wire up into the torso and modelled some gs pipin on to it then covered it with gs, thought it was more appropriate for mk5/6 armour to have some exposed pipes. at the moment am working on some roman tassles which will be put on a thin belt that will fit just above the legs, just contemplating wether or not to scuplt hair on the head will have a think about it. found a new head, considering wether or not to sculpt some hair on to it, i want to try to make him look distinguished. C&C welcome as always

Just a quick update got a head sorted out, i think its looking good, was thinking about addin a metal plate and some hair but it didnt go too well on the practise peice so i changed my mind and will be will add some service studs. the base is pretty much done, decided to go for a small simple head peice, i want the helmet to be an interesting detail and not draw the eye away from the mini on the whole

rite, sorta been away from this project for a week or so, gunna have the conversion work done by next sun, fingers crossed.

not a huge update, just a few little bits iv added since i last posted

the helemt has been removed from the back pack and will now be trailing off a peice of string which will be attached to the ring on the right side of his pelvis, helmet got emptied out, put a little detail in it did have 2 purity seals attached to the model but 1 fell off and is now forever lost in the warp, also replacing all the leaves on the laurel, i think got it sussed now and its gunna look good. added some more piping to increase the pre heresy feel, will be adding a 'valve' covering thin to the show the pipes actually goin into somethin and i think thats about it,

see u guys again in about a week :D
