rolljordan
Latelly I had lost faith that the B&C forum was going to be back on line, well had a nice surprise. In the mean while when it was down our team won the second consecutive sword in the Italian GD... Here is the work from Andrea. Soon hopefully I will be able to post the pics of the painted Horus. http://www.coolminiornot.com/117490 http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics10/img4421be4a641b8.jpg Well welcome back to everyone. :D Chris
Horus Reborn
Wow. It's almost like an oil painting done on a miniature. The gritty detail and realism is really stunning. Of course, stupid CMON has it rated as a 9, with some really stupid criticisms. (Don't like the gem in the staff?! Whatever.) And get that Horus up. I'm currently working on my 3rd (Yeah, 3rd) version of him for my own army, and would love to see what you guys have come up with. :-)

It should be done soon hopefully. :D ;: Here you can find a pic of the green: http://www.coolminiornot.com/88340 http://www.rolljordan.com/RJ/Painters/kirylo/horusfinished.jpg
Horus Reborn
Thanks for the quick reply! And yep, I've seen the green before. Some of the detail is very finely sculpted, but the proportions have always bugged me. Still, I'd like to see it painted up, especially if it turns out like most of the other work you guys put up. Cypher441
I guess it's time to retire from painting minis when people can paint like that, poor people like me stand no chance. Bye bye brushes :P . Thankyou rolljordan, just to warn you that you may spend the next few nights sharing your bed with a horse's head. :P ;) All I need, is a horse, and a hacksaw. -_- But in all seriousness, that looks drop dead gorgeous. You should be proud. My one comment on Horus, the legs are way too small. Big chest, small legs thing going on there. And regardless of some artist's impressions <_< , Horus had two lightning claws!!!!!! Two!!!!! :cuss Very very very nice work.
rolljordan
well thank you for the nice comments. As for the cape well Andrea "magobaku" is a great artist to start with, but there are lots and lots of light layers on it. Just lots of controll and patience. As for horus proportions well I can assure it is sculpted on a plastic terminator, I just added a few millimeter to the legs, bust and arms to make it higher, he is actually a 30/32mm sculpt. It might be the pic, hopefully when done the paint job will reflect a better proportion. Almost ready for the next Primarch... any suggestion?
